JOB DESCRIPTION:
Responsibilities
· Functional Team member for Operations SAP Global Support Team.
· Support the current production environment for SAP ECC, SAP PP (Production Planning), and SAP QM (Quality Management)
· Main point of contact for trouble shooting SAP PP and SAP QM related incidents and service requests for Medical Devices business unit on SAP.
· Represent the configuration and customization changes in SAP global release meeting for SAP Operations L2 team for moving changes to production system.
· Understand the business processes, its complexity and provide timely and desired effective solutions to the business community.
· Perform incident management, service request management, change requests and query resolution for tickets created in Service Now.
· Participate in incidents Root Cause Analysis (“RCA”), propose permanent solution for repetitive issues (analyzed via remedy data analysis) and execution.
· Provide support for month-end, quarter-end, and year-end activities.
· Perform batch job monitoring to solve batch job failures.
· Escalate tickets to other Abbott support team such BASIS, Security, L3 design & development, and coordinate with Abbott / subject matter expert to resolve production support tickets.
· Support the SAP support pack testing Type 1, Type 2, adhoc testing and custom transaction testing.
· Carry out testing for Changes in HP ALM for test scenarios associated with incidents and service requests.
· Coordinate with AMS team for development, support, maintenance, review of service requests and incidents.
· Prepare status reporting and operational reviews with IT Global Support manager.
· Assist project team member(s)for currentand futurerelease activities.
· Develop and deliver training programs for end-users and junior team members.
· Stay updated with the latest SAP technologies and trends to drive continuous improvement.
· Provide expert guidance on SAP best practices and ensure compliance with industry standards.
· Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather and analyze business needs, translating them into technical specifications.
Required Qualifications
· Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
· Minimum of 7 years of experience in SAP implementation and support.
· In-depth knowledge of SAP modules such as PP, QM, and MM.
· Strong understanding of SAP integration with other enterprise systems.
· Proven experience in production support
· Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.
· Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
· SAP certification is a plus.
· Knowledge of Service Now is a plus.
· Knowledge of SAP-MES integration preferred
