What you'll do
In your new role, you’ll be managing the analysis of complex cross franchise and pan group requirements, while capturing, validating and documenting business and system requirements and making sure that they are in line with key strategic principles and the Operations strategy.
In the course of your work, you’ll work closely with key stakeholders across the business to create, shape, define and own pan-operations and individual franchise opportunities. You’ll build, manage and maintain positive working relationship with stakeholders at different levels of hierarchy and third party suppliers across multiple franchises and functions.
You’ll also be:
- Responsible for identifying and eliciting requirements from stakeholders through interviews, surveys, and workshops and then analysing those requirements to understand the business needs and document them for technical teams
- Assessing current business processes and identify areas for improvement, this may involve mapping existing processes, analysing performance metrics, and recommending changes to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, or improve customer satisfaction
- Tracing and linking business requirements to future state design and communicate business needs into technical requirements
- Creating and executing test scenarios and test scripts at various stages of the project in order to validate the solution design
- Facilitating communication between stakeholders, including management, IT, and end-users, to ensure everyone is aligned, along with managing relationships, expectations, and priorities to foster collaboration and drive project success
The skills you'll need
You’ll need to hold an appropriate business analyst certification, such as BAX, CPRE and CBAP. You should be comfortable working with ambiguity and have the ability to pay keen attention to detail and drive progress at pace.
It’ll be ideal if you have experience of working with large scale automation or AI and strategies that are tangible and grounded, as will be a background in business design and experience of Agile processes and ceremonies.
You’ll also need:
- Experience of applying business analysis tools and techniques to include the use of a wide range of data such as Operational, Technology, Finance and HR to support problem solving and decision making
- Experience of delivering change within a banking operations team driving measurable business outcomes
- The drive to understand emerging technical capabilities and how these might be leveraged by Operations
- The ability to engage and communicate with multiple stakeholders at senior level across the bank
- An analytical mindset, with strong organisational skills and the ability to prioritise your work
- Critical thinking skills, enabling you to cut through complexity, and make sound decisions and recommendations that are carefully balanced against risk
