As a Business Analyst Finance at NN Bank, you will play a crucial role in bridging the gap between our investors and the bank’s ability to serve customers. By ensuring our investors have access to accurate and actionable data, you will help attract the funding needed to provide mortgages, savings, and pensions to over one million customers. Based in The Hague, you will collaborate with stakeholders across the bank to deliver data-driven solutions that enhance efficiency and support strategic financial processes.
What you are going to do
As a Business Analyst Finance at NN Bank, you will be the business expert for mortgage data, capable of aligning complex tasks with broader business objectives. As the linking pin between different data models and business requirements, you have a deep understanding of mortgage data and the business requirements for investor reporting. Your keen eye enables you to quickly spot potential errors caused by data, system or model issues, and you use your analytical skills to identify the root cause of the problem. For instance, you may notice inconsistencies in data reporting across different departments and find that the issue stems from discrepancies in data collection methods. Once you identify the problem, you propose and implement a solution to improve data accuracy and consistency, ensuring that investor reporting remains clear and reliable.
Additionally, you will build new reports or improve existing reports and analysis tools to translate the required data into actionable insights.
Your work will also contribute to the success of a large-scale IT project aimed at modernising and streamlining our data systems, ensuring alignment with business goals. In addition, you will:
- Enhance investor reporting, ensuring clarity and consistency in the reporting process and mortgage data used for investor reporting
- Take ownership of the reporting environment, driving continuous improvements in efficiency and quality
- Translate business requirements into actionable data and reporting solutions
- Contribute to the professionalisation of the originate-to-distribute servicing model, aligning it with NN’s strategic goals
