Role
The Business Affairs Manager will play a key role in the creation and clearance of advertising content for Thailand. This role involves constant interaction with our Account Management, Media and Production teams, as well as our Business Affairs team in the Singapore Hub and Los Angeles.
This position would be extremely well suited to an individual with experience or knowledge in the Business Affairs or Production functions. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter who has impeccable attention to detail, is deadline-oriented and has an ability to work across several projects simultaneously – all within a fast-paced, creative environment.
Responsibilities:
- Review advertising content at all stages of creative development, applying a filter for Thailand.
- Work with external counsel to establish risk assessments, outline solutions and escalate issues as necessary. Co-ordinate submissions to regulatory bodies.
- Partner with BA Director in negotiating and contracting a wide range of deals including image, locations, photographer, app, and illustrator agreements, as required.
- Assist with vetting talent, partners, and influencers. Attend casting sessions.
- Work with key stakeholders and external counsel on development and setting of legal lines. Manage legal line trackers.
- Build and maintain effective working relationships with Account, Planning, Creative, Production and Finance teams and the global Business Affairs network.
- Manage BA requirements on smaller localisation campaigns.
- Maintain usage logs, precedent folders, capture learnings for assigned projects.
- Manage administrative tasks as required by BA Director including creating bids, POs, presentation materials.
- Work as part of team to ensure Client’s confidentiality directives are followed.
- Mentor and train team members.
Who will thrive in this role?
- Proven experience of the Business Affairs/Production function.
- A basic understanding of IP law and rights management.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills paired with a meticulous attention to detail and precision in approach to work.
- A good understanding and interest in the Thai advertising industry and technology sector, including knowledge of advertising regulations. International experience is a plus.
- Team player, highly collaborative, with a calm, positive ‘can do’ attitude and with the ability to work well under pressure.
- An appreciation of working within a fast-paced creative agency / environment
