What you’ll do

The Broadcast Producer is a critical role, representing the Hogarth business and collaborating closely with the Ogilvy Melbourne team in the delivery of world-class creative across broadcast and integrated campaigns.

Working closely with Ogilvy agency stakeholders, particularly Creative and Project Management teams, you’ll be managing internal and external production timelines, expectations, and task prioritisation at a campaign project level.

You’ll be responsible for ensuring production workflows are properly defined and adhered to, while maintaining high levels of communication and ensuring high production values at all times.

You’ll be passionate about the advertising and content world, and take pride in ensuring projects are produced to a high creative standard and are delivered both on time and within agreed budget.

Whilst there is flexibility in terms of working from Hogarth/WPP offices, we expect our people to work from office 3 to 4 days per week. 

Reporting lines

This role reports to the Lead Producer, and will be based in Melbourne. The role sits within Hogarth’s Primary Production team.

What you'll do

  • Review and understand creative requirements for each project brief (tone of film / images, visual style, music and audio)
  • Ballparking and scheduling of creative concepts and advise on qualification and suitability.
  • Support Lead producer when required on production company processes on certain projects, including Bid/Propose, reviews, and negotiation of production estimates and treatments.
  • Managing briefings with the client/agency, creating estimates, scheduling documentation, tracking costs and project progress.
  • Collaborate with creative and account management teams, to ensure creative productions meet client expectations and remain on brand message
  • Provide timely notification to PM and Production teams on changes to budget and/or schedule.
  • Be responsible for checking that all material needed to undertake a job has been requested and is on the system in the correct place.
  • Check and sign off invoices before going to client/agency/finance and manage regular updates of ongoing project timings & costs.
  • Management of multiple projects as needed

What you'll bring

  • Good understanding of production processes in multi channel advertising work, have a sound working knowledge of all the various roles, functions, capabilities, equipment, and applications within the Broadcast/Content Production area.
  • Likely to have 3-4 years experience as a broadcast producer in creative agency environments, or an Integrated Producer role that’s had strong exposure to broadcast production work
  • An understanding of standard broadcast technologies and implications for the post-production process and timings.
  • First-rate project management skills with an ability to manage multiple projects at once
  • Expertise in internal and external people and stakeholder management, forward planning, and relentlessly solutions-focused.
  • Outstanding attention to detail, loads of initiative and motivation to learn new tools
  • Strong financial acumen to cost based on brief, balance, and reconcile production budgets
  • Desire to grow and expand your production skills
  • Passion for following robust Production processes with the aim of delivering all your projects on time, on budget, and to the highest production value possible for the scope of the project.
  • Strong creative problem-solving and organisational skills
  • Experience with workflow management tools
