The Opportunity
This is a unique management opportunity to join the Broadcast and Media Solutions Engineering Team. Solutions Engineering manages the function, activities, and personnel of the Solutions Engineering Team to support the efforts of the project engineering, broadcast engineering operations, Broadcast IT operations functions.
Your Impact
You will build solutions to support the expanding business scope of all US-based media brands in the realms of linear broadcast, streaming, and social shopping. Work collaboratively across the business to bring user-focused systems and workflows to life while introducing new technologies and efficiencies through prototyping methodologies and larger scale projects.
What you will do
- Provide the technical oversight and leadership to the Solutions Engineer team to introduce new technologies and produce prototypes into the Broadcast and Media Engineering Eco-System
- Partner with customers, project managers, and architects to identify technology requirements and provide Broadcast and Media Products to support the business.
- Manage prototypes process or programs, for the Solution Engineering team.
- Be a necessary resource to escalate problems and to receive guidance and complete solutions.
- Communicate technical information to partners and junior team members.
What You Bring
- Bachelor's degree in engineering or equivalent combination of training and experience
- 6+ years of live broadcasting or broadcast engineering experience.
- Knowledge of Solution Engineering, being a technical resource to Solutions Engineers.
- Ability to delegate technical decision-making to appropriate levels in the organization while continuing to provide guidance.
- Ability to understand the areas supported by Broadcast and Media Engineering including their functional processes, goals and organizational dynamics.
- Experience developing an awareness of best practices in the technology industry as it relates to Broadcast and Media Solutions Engineering
- Experience defining solution options, providing estimates on effort and risk, and evaluating technical feasibility of complex problems
