About this role:
Leading a team with 5 direct reports, this newly created position will be responsible for developing comprehensive marketing strategies, while also optimizing campaigns to maximize their effectiveness based on data and performance metrics. Reporting to the head of Brand Marketing, the leader will work closely with the heads of Sponsorships & Brand Engagement, Brand Strategy & Management as well as the Chief Brand Officer on enterprise-wide marketing transformation initiatives. This position can sit in Charlotte, NC or New York, NY and is required to be in the office 3 days a week. The Wells Fargo job profile is Marketing Director.
In this role, you will:

Ideate comprehensive marketing strategies, including target audience identification, positioning, content, and creative, that support the Brand

Drive multi-channel marketing campaigns for Public Affairs (including Brand, Sponsorships, Government Relations, WF Foundation, Sustainability)

Manage Content Strategy and Search Engine Optimization – across Brand team working with Content and SEO teams

Serve as a pivotal point of contact between our company and creative partners, ensuring that all advertising efforts are cohesive, brand-aligned, and impactful.

Ensure best-in-class ad units and copy are being developed to maximize performance through effective and insightful direction & feedback; understand each channel’s unique requirements and best practices

Coordinate and Partner with: Analytics and Measurement to monitor performance, identify trends, and leverage data to optimize marketing campaigns; Media to ensure media and creative workstreams are in synch and delivering against plans; and Go-To-Market lead on execution strategy, governance and internal partner reviews

Lead and coach a team of Senior Lead and Lead Marketing Consultants
Required Qualifications:
-
8+ years of Marketing, Digital Marketing, Digital Platforms, or Social Media experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education

4+ years of management or leadership experience

Experience developing marketing strategy at a branding agency or Fortune 500 company

Experience working with agency partners to develop compelling creative for omni-channel campaigns

Experience translating insights into actionable strategies that drive growth, and brand perception

Experience using design elements to convey a compelling narrative for visual storytelling

Experience developing strategic presentations with MS PowerPoint

Experience managing relationships and collaborating with external stakeholders

Experience managing creative projects; this includes defining the scope and developing the budget

Experience leading, geographically dispersed, cross-functional diverse teams
