The Opportunity
Abbott is seeking a passionate and experienced marketing professional to join our Heart Failure team. This position will work onsite in our Austin, Texas, Minnetonka, MN or Pleasanton, CA office within the Heart Failure Division. In Abbott’s Heart Failure business, we are developing solutions to diagnose, monitor and manage heart failure, allowing people to restore their health and live better.
The Brand Manager will lead and manage the marketing communications strategy and execution for the CardioMEMS HF System in the Heart Failure division. This position will be responsible for planning and executing campaigns across multiple channels to help enable sales and build the Abbott Brand.
What You’ll Work On
- Strategically lead the development and execution of brand and content strategies, ensuring consistent messaging across all channels and materials.
- Implement multi-component direct-to-HCP and direct-to-patient franchise messaging campaigns in close collaboration with agencies and cross-functional teams.
- Lead the creation of messaging and communication strategies for new product and clinical data launches.
- Collaborate with agencies and vendors to develop global creative marketing materials for product franchises, ensuring timely and within budget deliverables using established procedures and tools.
- Provide channel strategy expertise to teams, recommending the most effective ways to deploy assets and materials to achieve marketing objectives.
- Work closely with peers in Commercial Marketing, Upstream Marketing, Digital Marketing, Clinical Marketing, Regulatory, Public Relations, and Creative Services to align on product launches, campaigns, congress events, processes, strategies, best practices, and efficiencies.
- Liaison with specific geographies, including Europe, Canada, Latin America, and Asia Pacific, to ensure consistent global messaging and strategy.
- Champion the Abbott brand and product franchise in all materials, ensuring alignment with corporate brand standards.
- Comply with U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) regulations, other regulatory requirements, company policies, operating procedures, processes, and task assignments.
- Perform other related duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- 7+ years of experience in brand or product management or a similar role within the Medical Device Industry or another regulated industry.
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business, communications or a related field.
- Proven track record of delivering measurable, successful multi-channel communication campaigns.
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively as part of interdisciplinary teams that include product managers, designers, agencies, and digital marketing teams.
- Strong verbal and written communications with ability to effectively communicate at multiple levels in the organization.
- Proficiency in marketing and branding tools and platforms.
- Self-starter who takes initiative, is comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, and able to independently manage multiple projects towards aggressive deadlines.
- Willing to travel 20%.
Preferred Qualifications
- Heart failure (HF) or other cardiovascular marketing experience a plus.
- Familiar with working with clinical data to inform business strategy and product messaging.
- Experience in launching new products to market.
- Experience working in a highly matrixed and geographically diverse business environment.

$97,300.00 – $194,700.00
