Key Responsibilities:
- Provide specialized care for patients undergoing bone marrow transplantation for hematologic malignancies, bone marrow failure syndromes, and other hematologic disorders.
- Perform pre-transplant evaluations, coordinate transplant procedures, and manage post-transplant care and complications.
- Collaborate closely with hematologists, oncologists, transplant surgeons, and other specialists to deliver comprehensive and integrated care to transplant patients.
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings, case discussions, and research activities related to bone marrow transplantation.
- Engage in clinical research, trials, and quality improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing transplant outcomes and patient safety.
- Educate patients, families, and healthcare professionals about bone marrow transplantation and related therapies.
- The position will be based out of the Hackensack main campus 3 days per week and the Jersey Shore Hospital 2 days per week.
**Qualifications:**
- Medical degree (MD or DO) from an accredited institution.
- Completion of residency training in hematology, oncology, or related specialty.
- Board certification or eligibility in hematology and/or oncology.
- Successful completion of a bone marrow transplantation fellowship program.
- Active medical license in the state of practice.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
- Strong commitment to patient care, research, and continuous professional development.
- Ambitious mindset with a desire to contribute to advancements in transplant medicine.
