Position Title: Billing Specialist
Reports To: Credit & Collections Manager (for Billing duties) and to Operations Controller (for A/P duties)
Location: Richmond, VA - on-site
This position is a temporary role, with an anticipated assignment period of three months (June - September)
Position Summary:
The Billing Specialist’s primary function is the timely, accurate and efficient performance of the ERP invoicing function. Successful completion of this task will involve open communication with supply partners and internal stakeholders. The Billing Specialist role also supports operations of the Finance department through data entry and administrative duties, primarily assisting with Accounts Payable functions in a multi-location environment. This role will act as primary backup for Accounts Payable duties and may also assist the Logistics team, as needed.
Key Tasks / Responsibilities:
- Perform the ERP invoicing function and distribution of invoices to customers, to include line item accuracy, verification of freight charges, invoice delivery method, etc.
- Provide timely and clear communication of invoicing issues to applicable internal and/or external stakeholders
- Maintain required documentation in on-line data storage system.
- Provide administrative support to functions of the Finance department, as needed.
- Assist Accounts Payable Specialist with timely and accurate entering and payment of intercompany and third party vendor invoices.
- Assist the Logistics team with freight tracking and invoicing, as needed
- Assist in the tracking of Company objectives and KPIs performance to targets.
- Monitor multiple email accounts and resolve inquiries in a timely and professional manner
- Other duties as assigned.

Education / Experience:
High School diploma required; Associates or Bachelor’s degree in related field preferred. One year minimum of relevant experience required.
