The Development Controller will direct all accounting affairs for the Project. They will manage the month-end closing process, annual audit, day-to-day operations, and accounting processes and policies. Additionally, they will assist in the preparation of management reports and the annual budgeting process
- Prepare and complete audit work papers and work with external auditors in order to complete audits among all entities
- Prepare tax work papers and work with external tax preparers in order to complete all tax returns and quarterly estimates
- Prepare internal financial management reports, all required monthly budget variance analysis and annual budget
- Review the company’s accounting information to identify and resolve inaccuracies or imbalances and Supervise (with support from Club Controller) club accounting operations
- Interface with various departments, outside agencies, customers, and vendors in exchanging information responding to requests
- Prepare monthly financial reports for the management and ownership teams as well as prepare monthly sales reports
- Manage cash position of the project and manage the accounts payable function of the project as well as any required insurance programs
- Maintain commission and management fee schedules and project business plan
- Maintain all required balance sheet reconciliations
- Direct regular balancing of all intercompany accounts
- Responsible for computer systems including Sage Intacct, Titanium, Procore, TEI, and FloQast for the project
- Perform any other tasks necessary to accomplish departmental and project financial objectives.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, ABILITIES, and/ or SKILLS
- 5+ years of experience in finance, accounting, or a related role.
- Experience in construction accounting is preferred.
- CPA license preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel for financial analysis and budgeting.
- Experience with Sage Intacct, Titanium, Procore, TEI, and FloQast or similar accounting software.
- Knowledge of GAAP accounting standards and construction WIP schedules.
- Ability to read, write, and communicate fluently in both English and Spanish.

REQUIRED EDUCATION
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field (required).
- CPA certification (preferred but not required).

Work Environment:
- Office-based work environment with regular use of computers and financial systems.
- Occasional travel to project sites for financial reporting and budget oversight.
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged sitting, computer use, and screen time.
- Occasional walking, standing, and movement within office and project sites.
- Ability to lift and carry files, reports, and office equipment (up to 20 lbs.) when needed.
Safety Considerations:
- Compliance with company and legal occupational safety standards in both office and site environments.
