Role Value Proposition
We are seeking a highly qualified and experienced Power Business Intelligence (PBI) developer to join our team. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting the MetLife Holdings business and other enterprise functions by creating and managing reports, building automation solutions, and ensuring seamless integration with Power BI and Microsoft Power Platform.
Key Responsibilities
The successful candidate will have technical expertise in SQL, Power BI, and Microsoft Power Platform with a proven track record in managing complex reporting and automation projects. They will be responsible for improving business efficiency and building strong internal relationships through technical support and collaboration.
The key responsibilities are outlined below:
- Manage the design, development, and maintenance of reports using Power BI and other reporting and data transformation tools (e.g. Alteryx). Collaborate with business units to document and understand requirements, take ownership of the report creation process, and obtain sign off on the report
- Build automation solutions using Microsoft Power Platform, including Power Apps and Power Automate. Diagnose issues with existing automation and propose relevant solutions
- Optimize the business processes through focused analysis and implementation of automation solutions. Review technical performance (including data accuracy, automation efficiency, and system integration), understand the opportunities, and propose relevant solutions
Essential Business Experience and Technical Skills
Required:
- A demonstrated track record delivering business solutions using the Power Platform suite (Power BI, Power Apps, Power Automate), or other relevant experience maintaining complex reporting and automation projects
- Experience and strong knowledge of SQL, Power BI, Microsoft Power Platform (including Power Apps and Power Automate)
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience; 5+ years of experience in a related field or industry is a must
- Strong technical skills to provide first-line support and training to end users
- Highly proficient in Microsoft Office applications: Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Word (knowledge of Access is preferred but not required)
- Ability to analyze complex data and deliver meaningful visualizations that drive business decisions
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to convey complex information clearly to audiences of all levels
- Ability to identify and solve problems as they arise, as this role involves managing complex reporting and automation processes
- A keen eye for detail and ability to spot discrepancies or errors in data to ensure that reports and automations are accurate and optimized
- The candidate should be motivated by achieving results and focused on implementing solutions that enhance business efficiency
- Team player with proven ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, including development, business units, and IT, to drive results
- Focus on learning to stay updated with the latest data analytic tools, techniques and industry trends
- Experience in cross-functional collaboration and liaising with development teams using Agile methodology
Preferred:
- Azure DevOps experience

The salary range for applicants for this position is 76,500 to 117,200.
