About the team

The Worldpay Authorisation System was first introduced to the public in 1989. It has been the Acquirer of choice for the high street and e-commerce ever since. We are the largest authorisation Acquirer in the UK & Europe, processing up to 1300 transactions per second in production and volumes reaching a max of 45million in a single day.

Our small team contains very experienced developers & very experienced testers, an asset when attention to detail is critical.

What you will be doing

With minimal supervision, you will be able to work with clients and colleagues, to analyse project requirements and produce project documentation including Functional Specifications and System Designs. You must be proficient with HP Non Stop Guardian, TACL, TAL, COBOL, SCOBOL, BASE24 Classic PoS  release 5&6, XPNET 3.3.

You must be able to analyse PoS Card Scheme Business Enhancements and take those requirements through the product development lifecycle. You will also be asked to do research, analyse and present appropriate options within the context of the project. and design and maintain existing bespoke BASE24 code to meet various business needs.

You will be engaged on a variety of Streamline projects. Deliverables will include;

• Produce estimates for the development and unit test project phases.

• Produce Functional Specifications and System Design documents.

• Design and maintain existing bespoke BASE24 code.

• Unit Testing and QA.

• Consultancy.

What you bring:

• Knowledge of BASE24 Classic PoS (release 5/6), including necessary skills in XPNET.

• Extensive knowledge of TAL

• Non-Stop utilities (Pathway, FUP, Edit/Tedit)

• ACI MAKE

•  Experience of the HP Non-Stop Guardian O/S.

•  Knowledge of the APACS 70 standard.

•  Knowledge of the ISO8583 formats.

•  MasterCard, Visa, Diners and JCB scheme interfaces and message formats.

Added bonus if you have:

• Good knowledge of Ascert’s VersaTest Automator.

• Non-Stop utilities (Pathway, FUP, Edit/Tedit)

•  A basic understanding of TCP/IP

•  XML/Json/Kafka

•  A knowledge of HSMs and cryptography
