As a Senior Backend Engineer at Via, you’ll work within our core R&D center as a member of our Backend Team. You’ll design, develop, implement, maintain and troubleshoot in a cutting-edge environment. Within Via’s infrastructure, you’ll focus on building optimized, scalable and innovative designs.
What You'll Do
- Be responsible for implementing microservices from design to production.
- Take ownership of development, maintenance, testing strategy, design discussions, and operations.
- Participate in all aspects of agile software development including design, implementation, and deployment.
- Responsible for the end-to-end lifecycle of new product features / components
- Ensuring application performance, uptime, and scale, maintaining high standards of code quality and thoughtful application design
- Research and suggest new technologies for boosting the product.
- Have an impact on product development by making important technical decisions, influencing the system architecture, development practices and more.
Who You Are
- 4+ years of backend development
- Hands-on experience in Python, Java, or other high-level programming languages
- Proven record of developing and scaling products that are highly available, distributed, and large scale
- Experience with AWS cloud platform - Advantage.
- Deep understanding of core programming principles, including data structures, multi-threading, object-oriented programming (OOP), and design patterns.
- A quick learner, capable of mastering new concepts, technologies, and methodologies with ease.
- A collaborative team player with excellent communication skills who thrives in a fast-paced environment.
