About the Role:
We are seeking a talented and driven Backend Engineer with a strong foundation in the MERN stack, as well as experience building and managing integrations. The ideal candidate will also have hands-on experience integrating systems using Rest APIs, and a passion for building scalable and efficient web applications.
As a Backend Engineer, you'll collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, contribute to both front-end and back-end development, and play a key role in delivering seamless user experiences.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with product managers, designers, and other developers to maintain, build and improve our Backend integrations
- Manage and optimize database queries and structures using MongoDB
- Write clean, reusable and efficient code adhering to best practices and coding standards
- Debug and resolve application errors, performance bottlenecks and security issues
- Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback
- Stay up-to-date with the latest trends, tools and technologies in web development
Basic Qualifications:
- 5+ years of professional experience as a Backend Developer or similar role
- Proficiency in JavaScript/Typescript, HTML5, and CSS3
- Solid backend development experience with Node.js and Express.js
- Experience working with MongoDB and designing efficient database schemas
- Familiarity with RESTful APIs and integrating third-party services
- Knowledge of version control systems (Git)
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with deployment pipelines, CI/CD tools, and cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure)
- Experience with health care data
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Salary Range: $140,000-$160,000
