At Colleen AI (Acquired by Entrata), we’re seeking a Senior Backend Engineer to help build and optimize scalable AI-driven solutions that transform the U.S. real estate market. You’ll play a key role in developing backend systems that power our flagship products, Payments AI and Leasing AI, which help property managers automate rent collection, leasing, and tenant communications.

Responsibilities
- You will design, architect, test, and implement an innovative AI product
- Contributing to the backend development process, from spec to tested production code
- Optimization of the application for maximum speed and scalability
- Drive technical discussions and decisions, providing mentorship and guidance to junior team members
- Identify and resolve complex technical issues and challenges
- Serve as a knowledge center and mentor for other team members
Minimum Qualifications
- 7+ years of experience in backend development, with a strong focus on building scalable and high-performance applications
- 3+ years of programming experience with Nodejs (Typescript) and its related frameworks
- 3+ years experience in MongoDB
- Experience with AWS or GCP
- Strong knowledge of microservices, RESTful APIs, and event-driven systems
- Proven experience in managing the complete dev life cycle from requirements to design, development, and go-live
- Bachelor, Master, or higher degree in Computer/Software Engineering or a related field
- Fast learner with adaptability to learning new technologies
- Startup experience is preferred
