About the Role:
We are looking for a Senior Full Stack Engineer with a backend orientation who excels at solving complex challenges and is passionate about building robust and scalable systems. In this role, you will work closely with a talented team of developers, Product, Design, and Data Science to deliver innovative solutions that have a meaningful impact on users' lives.
As a senior engineer, you will focus on backend development while contributing to frontend implementation as needed. You will take full ownership of your projects, from concept to deployment, in a fast-paced and highly collaborative environment, while also mentoring team members and driving technical excellence.
Our Technology Stack:
Node.js, React Native, Redux, ReactJS, Scala, Play, Microservices, AWS, Docker, Kubernetes, MongoDB, Redis, PostgreSQL, Spark, Elasticsearch, Kafka, and more.
Responsibilities:
- Backend Development: Design, implement, and maintain backend systems that process and analyze large-scale data.
- Full Stack Contribution: Develop features end-to-end, integrating both frontend and backend functionality.
- Build scalable, efficient, and secure backend services using Node.js and other technologies.
- Collaborate with the Data Science team to integrate advanced algorithms into backend systems, driving data-driven products.
- Partner with Product Managers and Experience Designers to brainstorm, strategize, and execute features and improvements.
- Ensure architecture and systems are reliable, maintainable, and scalable for future growth.
- Lead by example, mentoring junior engineers and contributing to code reviews.
- Continuously evaluate and adopt cutting-edge technologies to improve system performance and engineering practices.
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of professional experience as a Full Stack Engineer, with a focus on backend development.
- Strong proficiency with Node.js—a must.
- Proven experience in designing, building, and maintaining complex systems at scale - a must.
- Experience with ReactJS or React Native—an advantage.
- Solid understanding of algorithms, logic design, and system optimization.
- Expertise with relational and non-relational databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MongoDB).
- Familiarity with cloud-based infrastructure (e.g., AWS, Docker, Kubernetes)—an advantage.
- Strong collaborative skills, a proactive mindset, and a passion for creating impactful, user-centric solutions.
- A degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
