What We DoThe Azure Administrator is responsible for managing and maintaining the organization's Microsoft Azure environment, ensuring it operates efficiently, securely, and reliably. This role involves configuring Azure services, monitoring performance, implementing security measures, and supporting cloud-based applications. The ideal candidate will possess strong foundational knowledge of Azure technologies and demonstrate a commitment to learning and professional growth.
What You'll Do
- Deploy, configure, and manage Azure resources such as virtual machines, storage accounts, and virtual networks.
- Perform routine maintenance tasks, including updates and patches, within the Azure environment.
- Monitor system performance and resource utilization using Azure Monitor and related tools.
- Identify and resolve technical issues related to Azure services in a timely manner.
- Manage Azure Active Directory (AAD), ensuring proper identity and access control.
- Implement security best practices, such as firewalls, encryption, and multi-factor authentication (MFA).
- Configure and manage backups using Azure Backup.
- Test and support disaster recovery solutions to ensure data and system availability.
- Provide support to internal teams and end-users regarding Azure services and solutions.
- Create and maintain technical documentation for cloud infrastructure and operational processes.
- Utilize scripting tools like PowerShell or Azure CLI for automating administrative tasks.
- Maintain and modify Infrastructure as Code (IaC) templates as needed.
- Ensure compliance with organizational policies and industry standards through Azure Policy and tagging strategies.
- Assist in implementing cost management and reporting practices.
What You'll Bring
- Associate's or Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
- 2+ years of IT experience with at least 1 year focused on Azure administration
- Hands-on experience with core Azure services such as Virtual Machines, Storage, and Azure Active Directory.
- Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate (preferred or willingness to obtain).
- Proficiency in PowerShell, Azure CLI, or similar scripting tools.
- Familiarity with networking basics (e.g., VPNs, DNS, firewalls).
- Basic understanding of virtualization and cloud computing concepts.
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to work independently and within a team.
- Effective communication and documentation skills.
- Proactive and eager to learn new Azure technologies and solutions.
Salary Range: $86,675 -144,450 Annually
