Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and experienced AWS Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) to join our forward-thinking team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in AWS, infrastructure automation, and reliability engineering, and will be responsible for ensuring the availability, security, performance, and scalability to support the growth of our Fintech platform.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Design, implement, and maintain scalable, secure, and reliable AWS infrastructure.
- Develop and manage CI/CD pipelines to automate deployment processes and integrated test automation.
- Implement infrastructure as code (IaC) using tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation.
- Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize system performance, reliability, and security.
- Implement and manage containerization and orchestration using Docker and Kubernetes.
- Develop and manage automation scripts and tools to streamline operations and improve system reliability.
- Implement and manage monitoring, alerting, and logging solutions to proactively detect and resolve issues.
- Collaborate with development and operations teams to design and implement disaster recovery and business continuity plans.
- Conduct regular performance testing and capacity planning to ensure system reliability, stability and scalability.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulatory requirements, and security best practices.
- Collaborate with product management, program management and cross-functional teams to define technical requirements, develop solutions that align with business objectives, ensure seamless integration and delivery of applications.
- Conduct POCs to evaluate different tools and technologies to enhance our technology stack to improve both functional and non-functional aspects of our solutions.
- Migrate existing applications, APIs, batch jobs, and deploy newly built micro-services to EKS on AWS, ensuring no downtime, high availability, scalability, resiliency and optimal performance with security and cost optimization.
- Develop and maintain scripts, architectural documentation, including architecture and design patterns, best practices, and implementation guides.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulatory requirements, and security best practices.
- Perform regular cloud infrastructure operations tasks such as housekeeping, performance tuning, monitoring, and optimization of AWS environments. Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize system reliability, stability and security.
- Provide AWS infrastructure support to development teams in development and release management activities
- Provide AWS infrastructure, networking, security and DevOps hand-on production support.
- Work as an individual contributor and provide mentorship to junior architects and engineers.
Qualifications and Skills
- 8+ years of experience in IT infrastructure architecture, solution design and administration on AWS cloud platform.
- 5+ years of experience with monitoring and logging tools such as CloudWatch, Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, EFK, Datadog, Splunk, Wiz, PagerDuty.
- 5+ years of experience with scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
- 5+ years of experience with CI/CD tools and services such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, AWS DevOps (Code Commit, CodeBuild, CodeDeploy, CodePipeline) or Azure DevOps.
- 5+ years of experience with automated provisioning of AWS services esp. EKS using infrastructure such as code (IaC) tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation.
- 5+ years of experience in migrating complex applications and workloads to Kubernetes platforms esp. EKS on AWS.
- 5+ Years of experience in microservices deployment on Kubernetes platform.
- 5+ years of hands-on experience in building the AWS cloud infrastructure environments from the ground up.
- 5+ years of experience in the financial services industry.
- AWS Certified Solutions Architect Associate or AWS SysOps Administrator Associate or equivalent certification.
- Extensive experience with AWS services such as EC2, ECS, EKS, Fargate, Lambda, S3, RDS, DynamoDB, OpenSearch, ElastiCache, Transfer Family, VPC, IAM, Cognito, SQS, SNS, MSK, CloudTrail, CloudWatch, Event Bridge, Step Functions, EMR, Kinesis, Amplify, Identity Center, GuardDuty and Workspaces
- Strong knowledge of networking, security, and compliance in the AWS cloud.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically and analytically. Strong communication skills, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Experience with broker-dealer platforms is highly desirable.
- Experience with service mesh solutions such as Istio, AWS App Mesh or Linkerd is highly desirable.
- Experience with microservices development and integration on the .net platform is highly desirable.
- Experience with microservices development and integration on the .net and Microsoft power platform is highly desirable.
