Essential Functions:

Sets policies and annual performance goals for EMC Claims Solutions through the development and maintenance of quality assurance and cost management guidelines, as well as growth and earnings retention plans

Develops and fosters the annual business strategy for Claims Solutions

Designs management controls and tracking tools to ensure that performance standards are optimized, and resources are maximized

Oversees development and preparation of budget, financial, statistical, and management reports

Prepares and delivers an executive summary and financial statement package to the Board of Managers annually

Reviews and maintains compliance with regulatory entities and company policy

Serves as primary interface with EMC business consultants, such as Legal, Accounting, Executive, Risk Improvement, etc., as well as clients and vendors

Engages clients on a regular basis to ensure the understanding of business goals and satisfaction with service levels and results and resolves issues as needed

Develops metrics and solutions and consistently evaluates and monitors opportunities for improvement

Establishes and develops relationships with current and potential clients to provide opportunity for growth

Serves as the public representative of Claims Solutions Services to present potential services and offerings to customers to grow our client base. Develops proposals and marketing materials for sales pitches

Develops and markets new products and services for clients. Negotiates pricing and performance initiatives with vendors and suppliers

Analyzes potential solutions or process improvements to services for potential use and adaptation at EMC Claims Solutions

Analyzes loss data and client business needs and creates new business proposals

Develops, negotiates, and executes renewal terms and new business contracts

Establishes credibility in the business community and proactively seeks out new clients

Supports Regional Office Operations by collaborating with underwriting and marketing in the acquisition and onboarding of new accounts, providing ongoing support with claims/risk management services and client management and develops and executes customer focused programs to reduce office operating expenses and loss ratios

Leadership Develops and implements a talent strategy across the portfolio of functions to achieve goals

Effectively develops and grows internal talent – a priority in EMC’s culture

Successfully attracts great new talent where needed to fill gaps in expertise or raise the bar of performance

Education and Experience:
-
Bachelor’s degree, preferably in a business-related field, or equivalent relevant experience
-
Ten years of leadership experience in claims
-
Experience managing and leading a profit center or business unit
-
Insurance designations, such as AIC, CPCU, ARM preferred
Knowledge Skills and Abilities:

Excellent knowledge of the theory and practice of the claim function along with strong analytical abilities

Thorough knowledge of the industry and market conditions

Superior leadership and interpersonal skills with the ability to manage, direct, lead and coordinate others

Excellent knowledge of computerized claim systems

Occasional travel; a valid driver’s license with an acceptable motor vehicle report per company standards required if driving
The hiring salary range for this position will vary based on geographic location, falling within $138,330-$218,599 range. A hiring range represents a subset of the full salary range. The actual salary will depend on several factors, including relevant education, skills, and experience of an applicant, geographic location, and business needs.
