Automation Test Engineer

We are excited to announce that our Quality Assurance Chapter is currently seeking a Testing Automation Engineer to join our testing automation team.

As a Testing Automation Engineer, you will be responsible for developing and implementing automated testing solutions for our software applications. You will work closely with developers, product owners, and other stakeholders to ensure that all requirements are met, and that the software is of the highest quality.

The ideal candidate should possess a comprehensive understanding of software testing methodologies and experience with programming languages, including Java, Python, C#, VBScripting. Additionally, familiarity with automated testing tools and frameworks, such as Selenium, UFT One, UFT Mobile, LoadRunner, and JMeter, is required.

As a Testing Automation Engineer, your primary responsibilities will include:

Designing and Developing Testing Automation Solutions:

• You will be accountable for designing and developing automation solutions aimed at improving efficiency, accuracy, and productivity within software development and testing.

Implementing and Maintaining Automation Frameworks:

• Implement and sustain automation frameworks that support both testing and development processes.
• Collaborate with development teams to identify and integrate optimal automation tools and solutions to enhance the development workflow.

Creating and Maintaining Automated Test Scripts:

• Develop, maintain, and update automated test scripts regularly.
• Utilize tools such as Selenium, UFT One, UFT Mobile, LoadRunner, and JMeter to analyze test results.
• Ensure the proper version control and configuration management of all test objects developed and test environments utilized.
• Design and create test conditions and scripts to address business and technical use cases.
• Develop scripts to capture and reuse automated unit test cases, test stubs, drivers, and other development test objects.

Identifying and Reporting Issues:

• Analyze test outcomes to identify issues or defects in software applications.
• Report detected issues to the development team and collaborate on effective resolutions.

Collaborating with Developers and Other Stakeholders:

• Work closely with developers, product owners, scrum masters, and other stakeholders to ensure comprehensive requirement fulfillment and sustained software quality.
• Identify potential areas where automation can enhance processes and workflows.
• Provide constructive feedback to the development team for software improvements and defect prevention.
• Collaborate with the Infrastructure/Application Support Team to establish and maintain an automated nightly build verification test.

Conducting Manual Testing:

• In addition to developing and executing automated test scripts, conduct manual testing as required.

Staying Up-to-Date with Industry Trends and Technologies:

• Maintain awareness of the latest industry trends and technologies pertinent to automation engineering, continuously enhancing skills and knowledge.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, software engineering, or a related field
• Strong knowledge of test automation tools (Selenium, UFT, JMeter, LoadRunner) and testing methodologies
• Basic programming skills (Java, Python, C#)
• Proficient in collecting test metrics, analyzing results, and creating summary reports
• Experience in performance testing
• Experience with IT solutions in financial sectors is an advantage
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Detail-oriented in thoroughly testing software applications
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
• Commitment to continuous learning and staying updated with industry trends
• Proactive team player
• Advanced English skills (verbal and written)
