Huntsman is seeking an Automation Specialist supporting the Global Business Services located in San Jose, Costa Rica. This position will report to the Global Automation Delivery Lead.

Job Scope

The Automation Specialist will be working closely with business analysts, subject matter experts, automation team colleagues, and our GBS Global Intelligent Automation Lead in putting together business cases, requirement specifications, business and system process flows, automation designs, and application builds to support our global automation transformation initiative. The successful candidate will primarily focus on process automation using RPA (robotic process automation), however, experience in other automation technologies will be a strong plus.

The successful candidate will provide creation / development services, working directly with various functions across the organization as a part of the Huntsman Global Business Services team. The Automation Specialist will execute value-centered initiatives by analyzing and designing process workflows, through building, testing, and implementing automation solutions. The successful candidate will primarily build using the Automation Anywhere platform; however, experience with other technologies such as Microsoft Power Platform, Alteryx, Python, and VBA will be important. The Automation Specialist will work autonomously with business experts from around the world, managing the end-to-end to delivery process. This includes connecting with and facilitating the required collaboration with business and functional team members across the world. 

The Automation Specialist is expected to be a team player and have an affinity for generating new ideas and initiatives to solve problems by leveraging RPA and other automation technologies. The Automation Specialist will be comfortable working independently and being challenged. The Automation Specialist will be part of a global team, with the Global Automation Delivery Lead they report to being based in Krakow, Poland. They are expected to generate automation programs, be quick learners on business processes, be technically flexible, and have strong interpersonal skills. The Automation Specialist will work towards incorporating intelligence in to the automation process as the need for and value of AI grows.

The Automation Specialist is expected to be the front of automation delivery team in Costa Rica, support business users with discussions and ideation sessions related to new automation in Americas region and lead digital champion network in Costa Rica office.

In summary, as the Automation Specialist, you will:  

  • Collaborate & coordinate with other automation experts, business users on various RPA & automation initiatives for implementation potential by analyzing and designing process workflows
  • Develop & implement quality automation solutions from gathering the requirements, design, document, test, and final deployment, with scalable & reusable components in mind.
  • Act as the subject matter expert for automation to others seeking to utilize automation technologies to automate and streamline existing manual business process, serve as expert to both direct team members and business / functional associates.
  • Contribute to building repository of tools, best practice & reusable solutions, and promote the utilization of RPA where possible

Other general responsibilities:

  • Follows instructions and performs other duties as may be assigned by supervisor.
  • Assists other employees in accomplishment of Huntsman company goals
  • Participates in and completes company-required training programs.
  • Participates in Environmental, Health, & Safety initiatives as set forth by the company.

Qualifications

You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates.
 
The candidate must have an unrestricted right to work for Huntsman in Costa Rica.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, Computer Science or IT Business Application and 3+ years of experience.

Specific Skills and Knowledge

  • Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience in developing major business automation solutions in RPA technologies and/or Microsoft Power Platform
  • Automation Anywhere (preferred), any RPA software experience is required
  • Hands-on experience in developing automation solutions using Microsoft Power Platform, including Power App, Power Automate and/or Power BI
  • Experience with Alteryx and VBA ideal
  • SAP ERP and / or SAP Business Objects experience is a plus 
  • Multinational organization experience strongly preferred
  • Must have aptitude towards technology and analysis 
  • Must be detail oriented and able to master a large breadth of information 
  • Ability to work independently, as well as in a team environment
  • Be flexible with working schedule as part of a global organization
     

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations

  • Certificate related to RPA is a plus
