Automation Quality Assurance Engineer

As a Quality Assurance Engineer at Insomniac Design, you will lead manual testing and the automation of testing processes. This role will work in an agile, collaborative environment to develop testing standards, determine best technologies for use, and integrate automated tests into the CI/CD processes. You will also partner with the development team to provide high-level feedback, mentor team members, and drive process improvements in order to deliver reliable, robust, and user-friendly solutions.

Quality Assurance:

• Analysis of requirements and development of test scenarios;
• Monitor and report automation environment;
• Support of testing documentation;

Automation:

• Creation of automation testing strategies and plans;
• Development and maintenance of automated tests;
• Management and configuration of test environmentsIntegration of automated tests into CI/CD processes;
• Evaluation, selection, and implementation of automation toolsReview of automated test code and infrastructure;
• Optimisation of automated test performanceIdentification and resolution of issues in automation processes;

Process Improvement:

• Active participation in processes to improve the quality and efficiency of QA teamwork;
• Development of QA KPIs, including cross-project metrics;
• Developing quality metrics and reportingDefine quality standards;

Project Leadership:

• Collaboration with other departments to ensure product quality goals are met;
• Development of high-quality deliverables to support customer requirements;
• Evaluation of tool and automation process effectiveness for continuous improvementInteraction with clients or internal stakeholders regarding automation testing ;
• Participation in project planning and assessment from QA perspective;

Skills & Experience:

• 5+ years of relevant experience as a QA Engineer;
• 2+ years of work experience in an Agile / Scrum environment;
• Comprehensive knowledge of test automation processes for APIs, SDKs, and tools such as Cypress, Postman, etc;
• General knowledge of at least one database management system (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL);
• Experience in working with or testing web services and microservices (REST services);
• Proficiency with software management systems, with a preference for JIRA;
• Robust analytical and organisational skills; adept at multitasking;
• Good English speaking and writing skills (B2+ lvl);
