What Do We Do?

Business Unit: Business Transformation Enablement (BTE)

  • Create Automations to solve business problems.
  • Develop integrations, business processes for end to end
  • Order processing, fulfilment, procurement and purchasing.
  • Look for improvements in process, productivity and lower disruptions by implementation operational enhancements.

Ongoing Projects

  • Automation developments, troubleshooting, production support.

Your Role as an Intern

You will be a part of a dynamic team, supporting the following tasks:

  • Automation projects with AI and RPA tools.
  • Data extraction
  • Integration development
  • Process improvement.

What Do We Require?

You must be:

  • Currently enrolled in a bachelor’s or master’s degree program majoring in Computer Science, MIS, Data Analytics or Data Science
  • Candidates should have experience with the following technologies: SAP, RPA, AI, ML, UiPath, SQL, JavaScript, Python, C#
  • Ideal candidates will possess the following characteristics: Self starter, quick learner, analytical, open and excited to learn new things, strong attention to detail, team player and can conduct themselves professionally
  • Minimum 3.0 GPA
  • Willing and able to work on-site at our Reading, PA, Latrobe, PA or Raleigh, NC location.
  • Applicants MUST be US Citizens or Green Card Holders due to Carpenter’s government contracts.

Pay Range

Hourly rates are based on: 1 – Program of study; 2 – Degree type (i.e., Bachelor’s); 3 – Progression in degree (i.e., 1st year, 2nd year, etc.). The range for this position is $22.00 - $25.00 per hour for bachelors students and $30.00 - $35.00 per hour for masters students.

Commuting/Housing Assistance (If Eligible)

Interns who must commute to work from outside the immediate Reading, PA or Latrobe, PA or Raleigh, NC area (over 50 miles one-way), will be paid a one-time lump sum payment of $2,400 (less applicable taxes) as excessive commute allowance. Interns who choose to temporarily relocate from outside the immediate Reading, PA or Latrobe, PA or Raleigh, NC area (moving over 50 miles one-way), will be paid a one-time lump sum payment of $4,800 (less applicable taxes) as a housing allowance. If applicable, this payment would be made during the first payroll cycle, which would be three or four weeks following the internship start date.
