Job Description
The Automation Engineer improves operational efficiency, accelerating incident processes, managing issues, and optimizing collaboration in cybersecurity, network and infrastructure management services. Your role is to improve manual tasks that requires time and resources swiftly to an automated system.
You will have automation technical skills and must be experienced in developing and using automation technologies. You will report to the Global Engineering Manager, Contract Capabilities. This is a remote role and can be based anywhere within the US.
Responsibilities:
- Develop strategies and integrations: Design software solutions that address needs according to engineering team requirements (operations teams), optimized processes consideration to reduce human effort, develop strategies for early remediation of security alerts.
- Operational efficiency improvement: Automate and orchestrate processes, integrate network, infrastructure & security tools. Create workflows and automate repetitive tasks.
- Testing & Implementation: Testing & Implementing automation flows, solution integration evaluation with existing systems, perform QA testing to ensure the effectiveness of developments.
- Research and trend exploration: Exploring relevant automation advancements and new software engineering tools (threats undergo rapid evolution, giving rise to novel technologies like AI). Investigate and evaluate new technologies and approaches to enhance organizational security.
- Collaboration support: Use information collected in the automation system to support strategic decision-making and preventive measures planning, help centralize management, collaborate with engineering & security teams by supporting strategy creation.
The Essentials - You Will Have:
- Bachelor's degree
- Legal authorization to work in the U.S. We will not sponsor individuals for employment visa, now or in the future, for this job opening.
- The ability to travel up to 10% of the time to customers.
The Preferred - You Might Have:
• 3+ years of extensive experience using SOAR like tools.
• Understanding of cybersecurity principles, including threats, attack techniques, and defense measures.
• 3 years Software development experience with skills in programming or scripting languages such Python, PowerShell, JavaScript, Bash.
• 3 years' experience in: SIEM: Security Information Event Management, TIP: Threat Intelligent Platform, MISP Malware information sharing platform, API: Application Programming Interface, and ETL: Extraction, Transformation, Load data or Others
• Experience in design and implement automation solutions.
• Ability to collaborate with other professional teams.
• Understanding internal or external customer needs.
