CATEGORY INTRODUCTION:
Pakistan’s Beauty and Wellbeing is a €225m business and commands the market leadership position in Hair Care. It operates with 6 strong brands (Dove, Sunsilk, GAL, Ponds, Tresemme and Lifebuoy), 4 of which are power brands for Unilever globally. With its large consumer base and strong market position, B&W Pakistan is the 2nd biggest market in PTAB region and holds clear strategic importance for the region.
JOB PURPOSE:
The primary purpose of the Assistant Trade Category Manager position is to integrate shopper insights, brand JTBD’s, trade and shoppers’ strategies to align category ambition across all channels in Unilever. The role requires cross functional alignment with marketing, channel & shopper marketing and customer business development teams to ensure smooth delivery of key category objectives.
The ATCM is responsible for delivering specific channel P&L targets while driving competitive gains in market share and ensuring visibility leadership across all categories.
WHAT WILL YOUR MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES BE:
- Responsible for crafting Channel Business Plans (CBP) taking into consideration the key value drivers for various categories relevant to the channel.
- Responsible for the holistic P&L delivery of the channel against set targets,
- Responsible for input as voice of CD into Shopper marketing plans,
- Responsible for the overall A&P Trade spend, utilizing it to advance the set strategy in CBP
- Responsible for delivering minimal bias vs. A&P trade monthly forecast across categories and brands
- Responsible for crafting PS One Pagers for the channel that enable competitive gain through EDGE
- Coordinating with field team for executing all launches/re-launches
- Leading all micro data analytics of Nielson Retail Audit for Distributive Trade and Actual EPOS (Electronic point of sale) data for Modern Trade customers for achieving specific ‘Channel Profit & Loss’ deliverables whilst ensuring competitive gains in terms of market share
- Responsible for leading and landing all category projects instore from ideation, pitching to the customer (as customer marketing) and then execution with vendors
- Coordination with field team for execution of all product launches / re-launches. Deployment of activations / launch plans / micro marketing plans with rigorous post launch evaluation / monitoring to take corrective actions for future purposes
- Custodian of the channel responsible for solving all problems relating to operational and field issues.
- Responsible for chain stores on direct coverage

Experiences, Qualification & Skills:
- 3 to 5 years Customer Development/Brands experience
- Customer Management and cross functional knowledge
- Demonstrated skills and capabilities in analytical thinking & complex problem solving
- Strong communication and negotiation skills
- Strategic Thinking & Planning: Ability to develop and implement strategic
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Excellent ability to collaborate effectively with teams across different departments and regions.
