As a AS&T Engineer (LIMS Expert) you are tasked to ensure that laboratory uses the most useful equipment, technologies, procedures and analytical methods and techniques are state of the art, accurate and sound analytical data is key for improving laboratory processes and to establish a better understanding at Batam. In this role, a typical day will include:
Responsibilities:
- Configure and customize the LIMS to meet the specific needs of our laboratory.
- Develop and maintain user workflows and protocols within the LIMS.
- Train laboratory personnel on the use of the LIMS.
- Troubleshoot and resolve LIMS related issues.
- Manage data import and export processes.
- Generate reports and analyze data from the LIMS.
- Stay up-to-date on the latest LIMS features and functionality.
- Participate in the ongoing development and improvement of the LIMS.
- Responsible for LIMS validation are and meet current requirement.
- Responsible for Lab. CSV system is properly validated and manage the computerized system life cycle.
What Can You Bring to Alcon:
- Strong understanding of laboratory workflows and data management practices.
- Experience working with a LIMS system (preferred)
- Experienced in chemical, analytical, microbiological and physical testing are (preferred)
- Experience with (Specific LIMS software you use) a plus.
- 70% of task is technical writing.
- 30% of configuring software and instruments
