Key Responsibilities:
Project Management & Coordination:
- Coordinate technology-related projects, ensuring timely completion and adherence to set objectives.
- Coordinate with internal teams, vendors, and portfolio companies to ensure smooth project progression.
- Track project milestones, manage timelines, and provide regular status updates to stakeholders.
- Identify potential project challenges and communicate them to the Operating Partner.
- Participate in project review meetings, providing insights and feedback.
Tech Insight Mining & Strategy Formulation:
- Gather IT artifacts, documentation, and other relevant data from portfolio companies.
- Analyze collected data to derive insights, identify patterns, and make informed recommendations.
- Create detailed reports highlighting findings, potential risks, and areas of improvement.
- Work with IT teams to ensure accurate and timely data collection.
- Utilize analytical tools to enhance data analysis capabilities.
Technology Due Diligence:
- Assist in the initial assessment of business functions and processes of prospective and current portfolio companies with a focus on the technological support for these processes, including the roles of vendors, strategic partners, and managed service providers.
- Review financial aspects, focusing on technology budgets, ongoing and planned projects, and anticipated tech-related expenditures.
- Assess information security postures, technical architectures, bespoke and commercial products and other key technology pillars.
- Collaborate with external consultants to ensure a thorough due diligence process.
- Prepare comprehensive due diligence reports detailing all findings and insights.
Transformation Support:
- Collaborate with portfolio companies, gathering requirements, and evaluating potential solutions.
- Support technology implementation phases, ensuring program deliverables and project milestones are on track.
- Assist in OEP’s internal transformation initiatives, from planning to execution.
- Provide support to teams during technology adoption programs within OEP and across our portfolio companies.
CIO Council Engagement & Collaboration:
- Assist with facilitating and orchestrating the CIO/CTO forum, ensuring it serves as a vibrant platform for knowledge exchange, collaboration, and mutual growth among portfolio companies.
- Engage actively with CIOs, CTOs and IT leaders from portfolio companies, understanding their unique challenges and opportunities, and integrating their insights into the broader objectives of the forum.
- Organize and participate in regular forum meetings, workshops, and sessions, fostering a culture of open dialogue, shared best practices, and innovative problem-solving.
- Document key takeaways, insights, and collaborative outcomes from the forum, ensuring they are communicated to relevant stakeholders and integrated into overarching technology strategies.
- Promote the CIO/CTO forum's objectives and benefits across OEP and its portfolio companies, ensuring its role as a nexus of knowledge and innovation is well-understood and valued.
Continuous Learning & Market Awareness:
- Stay updated with technological advancements, tools, and best practices.
- Attend workshops, seminars, and training sessions to enhance technical acumen and industry knowledge.
Documentation & Reporting:
- Maintain comprehensive documentation of all technology projects, initiatives, and findings.
- Prepare and present detailed reports to the Operating Partner, highlighting progress, challenges, and recommendations.
Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in tools such as JIRA, Trello, Asana, and Microsoft Project to manage, track, and report on project progress.
- Strong skills in data analytics tools like Excel, Tableau, or Power BI. Ability to interpret complex data sets and derive actionable insights.
- Familiarity with ITIL, COBIT, and other IT governance and service management frameworks.
- Understanding cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud and their respective services and capabilities.
- Knowledge of cybersecurity best practices, tools, and frameworks such as NIST or ISO 27001.
- Familiarity with major ERP systems like SAP, Oracle, or Microsoft Dynamics and their implementation methodologies.
- Ability to work with databases using SQL or other query languages. Familiarity with both relational and NoSQL databases.
- Basic understanding of software development life cycles, methodologies (like Agile or Waterfall), and tools (like Git).
- Proficiency in collaboration tools like Slack, Microsoft Teams, or Zoom for effective communication.
- Experience with tools like Confluence or SharePoint for maintaining and sharing project documentation.
- Understanding API concepts, integration methodologies, and tools like Postman or SOAP UI.
- Familiarity with DevOps principles, CI/CD pipelines, and tools like Jenkins or Docker.

Qualifications:

Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in private equity or a similar financial sector.
