Responsibilities

• Support all fittings for product that falls under designated brand.
• Provide comment construction, fit, and style details to the original sample and the company’s manufacturing specifications.
• Communicate all fit, quality, and garment construction comments/issues to local and overseas vendor partners.
• Work closely with the design team & technical design director, ensuring the product meets or achieves the desired design intent/fit, make corrections to specifications and follow customer directions to achieve desired fit and aesthetic.
• Maintain and monitor factory counter sampling, tracking of approvals, style testing as needed, final specifications and final BOM.
• Manage the day-to-day development of product line that adheres to seasonal calendars and sourcing strategy.
• Continually strive to upgrade the product without affecting the value and timeline.
• Identify and analyze problems, make sound recommendations and take appropriate action, follow-up to ensure all product details and specifications are met.
• Track fit sample progress on the weekly fit tracker from vendors ensuring key dates are met.
• Ensure all data is accurately submitted into PLM and responsible for maintaining an up to date and accurate display of all data input.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Technical Design, Product Development and Patterning or related field
• Minimum of 2 years’ technical design experience with apparel
• Minimum 1 year experience of patternmaking, grading, and construction experience, sewing techniques, stitch properties, and overall garment detail
• Able to interpret design intent and create alternative solutions
• Highly motivated self-starter and collaborative team player
• Strong communication, detail orientation, and follow-through skills
• Proactive problem-solving and resolution oriented
• Working knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel) and PLM system – ideally Centric

NEW YORK PAY RATE: $65,000/yr-$75,000/yr
