Institutional Banking and Markets is responsible for managing the Group’s relationships with major corporate and government clients and institutional investors, and provides a full range of capital raising, transactional and risk management products and services. Our Technology team delivers the best digital banking services to Commonwealth Bank customers and to do so is responsible for digital delivery, group data and analytics, technology and technology infrastructure, cyber, fraud, physical security and business resilience for all divisions across CBA. It is also dedicated to delivering the best workplace technology experience for our over 53,000 people across CBA and focused on providing the latest tools, technology, and resources to enhance the way we work together and empower our people to achieve more for our customers.
As a Software Engineer, you'll be doing hands-on coding, developing components for application and be responsible for shaping the evolution of our platform with opportunities to learn more about software engineering. Here, you’ll get to turn your passion into reality, working with new technology on state-of-the-art projects to enable a seamless and unrivalled customer experience

Tech Skills
We use a broad range of tools, languages, and frameworks. We don’t expect you to know them all but experience or exposure with some of these will set you up for success in this team:

Developing Linux shell scripts for process automation

Developing applications with kdb+ (q), Scala, r or python

Understanding of microservice architecture and API design patterns

Knowledge of AWS and CI/CD pipelines

Databases – kdb+ or similar timeseries databases
