Role Description:
We are seeking an entry level Full-stack Software Engineer (Java/TypeScript) to join one of our development teams. In this role, you’ll be learning how to design, develop, and maintain server-side services and their frontend counterparts. You will work with a tech lead and senior developers and contractors on one of our Single Page Application products. You will also, together with your team, collaborate with other teams, product managers, and other stakeholders to deliver robust and scalable solutions.
The Market Voice and Video team has built the core of Audio and Video communication in the Symphony app using WebRTC. We are a small team of developers that works with Java and media backend services as well as Angular frontend. The team is passionate about CI/CD best practices. We’re looking for talent to join our team to help us change the way the world communicates.
We are seeking someone who asks questions, shares own ideas as well as learns from others, proactively communicates, and can be accountable for own deliverables.
Responsibilities:
You will be a contributor in our backend development team with following responsibilities:
- An interest in design, implement and test scalable server-side endpoints (Java, Spring Boot) and their interaction with the Symphony ecosystem
- Had the opportunity to experience some frontend development using Angular
- Collaborate with the product team to gather requirements and other engineering teams to perform product integration
- Investigate issues or performance bottlenecks, document failure analysis, post-mortem, and root cause analysis when required
- Participate constructively and collaboratively in design and code reviews
Qualifications:
- BS in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field and 1+ years’ of practical experience in software development
- Some knowledge in either of Java, the Spring Framework (Spring Boot), Typescript and Angular.
- Nice to have: experience working with tools, such as Docker, K8s, Terraform, Git, Jenkins and working in GCP and/or AWS cloud environments.
Compensation:
- Salary range: 400,000–450,000 SEK per year depending on experience and qualifications
- Bonus Plan: 15% bonus target
