How you will contribute
You will work with others to execute the brand strategy for designated brands, develop product and packaging initiatives, implement pricing strategies, and plan and execute integrated marketing communication and media plans. You will also provide recommendations for integrated commercial plans and provide input and support in the development and execution of marketing plans to ensure they meet revenue, profit targets, sharing objectives and monitoring performance. Based on your strong understanding of consumer insights, brand strategy and positioning, you ill help develop integrated marketing communications and 360 degree campaigns.

Position Summary:
Mondelēz International (Canada) is looking for an Associate Shopper Marketing Manager to join our Marketing Team!
The retail landscape is constantly evolving. As such, Retailers (Customers) are seeking innovative strategies and initiatives to boost their in-store & online traffic and increase basket size. Shopper Marketing plays a pivotal role in driving conversion for our brands, by bringing forward best-in-class programs and providing growth solutions for our Customers.
With a Customer and Shopper centric mindset, the Associate Shopper Marketing Manager will support the Shopper Marketing Managers and Senior Manager in working collaboratively with internal cross-functional colleagues and external agencies to help bring programs to fruition across the business and our respective Customer (Sales) Teams. The Associate Shopper Marketing Manager will also support with post analyses of shopper programs and own the management of creative service requests that come through, working closely with our Design Team. This includes the end-to-end process oversight, briefing, management and obtaining necessary approvals (no design experience req.).
The successful candidate is a motivated and organized individual who has a passion for driving joint value for our business, Customers and Shoppers (end users). In this role, you will:
- Work closely with the Key Account Managers and Design Team to develop Customer-specific omni activation design tactics, flyers, tribute ads, (among others), managing the process from start-to-end (crafting briefs when required) and obtaining all necessary design review approvals (Legal, Translation (if required), Regulatory etc.) to ensure the creative aligns with Brand standards and meets the usability requirements
- Collaborate with Brand Marketing teams to ensure alignment between brand messaging and shopper activations
- Collaborate with agency partners and vendors to support in executing creative assets, promotions and activations
- Successfully juggle multiple projects and deadlines; while working independently within a team environment
- Work comfortably in a fast-paced environment
- Manage the development of creative banners speaking to our promotions, to leverage on our owned platform, Snackworks.ca
- Utilize the Nielsen data platform to evaluate program success and identify areas for improvement
- Leverage data sources at our disposal to inform program development
- Stay current on shopper marketing trends, technologies, and retail landscapes, to propose innovative ideas
- Assist with other diverse activities to support the Shopper Marketing Managers & Senior Manager
- Showcase strong communication skills and a collaborative leadership style working with key partners (sales, customers, brand, cross-functional team and external agencies)
To be successful in this role, you have:
- A Bachelor's Degree in Business with a specialty in a Marketing/Commerce, or, related field
- 1-2 years of previous marketing/shopper marketing experience preferred; if you have recent Co-Op or internship experience, you will also be considered
- Experience working in CPG, or a fast-paced environment preferred
- A growth mindset; a passion to learn and drive your development
- Excellent project management, organizational and prioritization skills
- The ability to manage multiple projects and work with key stakeholders simultaneously to meet key deliverables and ensure we are always executing with excellence
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Analytical skills, experience with Nielsen is preferred (training & development are offered)
- Experience developing marketing programs, rooted in insights & to drive conversion
- Knowledge of the Canadian retail landscape
