The Associate, Sales & Service provides superior experiences (greeting/selling/servicing) to all we serve (clients -face to face and/or virtual), offering financial solutions geared towards achieving their goals and dreams. Executes optimally to ensure the achievement of individual, team and institutional goals and objectives. This position works on-site and reports to our Altona Branch in St. Thomas.
MAIN DUTIES & RESPOSIBILITIES
- Delivers a unique customer service experience utilizing effective questioning and listening skills to anticipate and determine the customer’s needs and concerns, to ensure a high level of customer satisfaction. Delivers proactive and dynamic customer service. Demonstrates a positive and helpful attitude toward customers (internal and external).
- Promotes and provides information on the bank’s products, services and channels. Identifies cross-selling opportunities and refers customer to appropriate parties.
- Responds to customer needs quickly and accurately, consulting with customers and finding alternative methods to respond to needs in a compliant manner.
- Manage & process a variety of transactions and related duties in support of our financial products.
- Welcomes the visiting client, understands their primary needs, and directs them to the appropriate services. Ensures that all clients are served (within the expected waiting time), and if not, finds a satisfactory solution for the client.
- Complies with the Oriental Service Protocol. Ensures compliance with the bank’s policies and regulations in every account or transaction performed.
- Provides solutions on accounts disputes and other service activities. Takes ownership of every customer issue to solve it and ensures customer satisfaction.
- Generates new accounts, loans and other products as defined and instructed to assist in meeting customers’ needs and branch profitability goals. Cross sells bank products and services.
- Ensures individual results. Collaborates with the team to ensure achievement of the objectives.
- Remains up to date on the latest changes on policies, procedures and regulations related to the role.
- Other duties may be assigned.
Minimum Requirements:
- Completed associate degree or technical certificate in Business Administration or related fields required. Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- At least two (2) years of sales, customer service and/or operational experience in the banking industry highly desirable.
- Equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
- Must be service and customer oriented, with extensive interpersonal and problem-solving skills.
- Knowledge of the Banking Industry products, services, processes and regulations required.
- Ability to meet sales and referral targets as well as manage multiple priorities.
- Excellent consulting, sales and interpersonal and communication skills required.
- Minimum education and experience required can be substituted with the equivalent combination of education, training and experience that provides the required knowledge skills and abilities.
- Availability to work various shifts and days required. Flexibility to work overtime and/or irregular schedules based on branch hours of operations is required.
