Job Title: Associate, Quantitative Researcher

Job Duties: Conduct quantitative research on financial equities model to enhance portfolio performance. Perform portfolio rebalance and trade list generation, ensuring consistency with model insights and market movements. Analyze performance to understand model and risk factor contributions to returns. Evaluate and improve model design, portfolio construction and implementation. Identify and monitor factor exposures and event risks and evolving our process to systematically manage emerging factors. Progress proprietary analytics packages, by developing innovative methods to visualize portfolio risk while automating away repetitive tasks. Research and develop investment ideas and strategies. Manage investments across a full investment life cycle including signal research, portfolio construction, trading and risk / return attribution. Present strategies and performance to internal business partners and colleagues, as well as external constituents such as clients, consultants, and potential investors.

Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree (or foreign equivalent) in Finance, Economics, Data Science, Statistics, Operations Research or a related quantitative field; and completion of one undergraduate-level course, research project, or internship involving the following: 1. Statistical and machine learning concepts; 2. Working with large data sets using SQL and Python; 3. Unix OS, AWS Platforms, and Hadoop framework; 4. Databases: Capability to retrieve new data from internal/external database and analyze the data efficacy; 5. Modeling and statistical packages like MATLAB, Python, or R; 6. Data visualization in Tableau; 7. Proficiency with data structures, data mining, mathematics, and statistical analysis; 8. Machine learning frameworks like Keras or PyTorch.

Salary: $145,000.00 - $162,000.00

For San Francisco, CA Only the salary range for this position is USD$145,000.00 - USD$162,000.00 . Additionally, employees are eligible for an annual discretionary bonus, and benefits including heath care, leave benefits, and retirement benefits. BlackRock operates a pay-for-performance compensation philosophy and your total compensation may vary based on role, location, and firm, department and individual performance.
