Summary of Position
In your role as an Associate, Quality Assurance Specialist, you will be responsible for QA inspections of purchased parts, subassemblies, In-process product and/or finished products according to defined criteria using measuring tools. You will work with other disciplines within the organization, i.e., procurement, engineering, production and receiving departments. This position is a critical gate to insuring internal and supplier Quality of our products and will report directly to our Senior Quality Manager.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Perform inspection of purchased parts, subassemblies, in-process product and/or finished products according to defined criteria using measuring tools.
- Coordinate with production, and engineering inspection and production priorities.
- Approve incoming materials, in-process products, and finished goods by confirming specification, conducting visual and measurement tests.
- Create and approve Device History Records (DHRs) assuring compliance with product specifications and company traceability requirements.
- Verify that finished goods are manufactured in accordance with the Device Master Record (DMR).
- Document inspection results by completing required documentation and following Good Documentation Practices (GDP).
- Collaborate with production, engineering and quality to drive continuous improvement initiatives.
- Identify non-conformities, deviations, equipment out of calibration, and propose corrective actions to management.
- Coordinate MRB activities are completed accurately and in a timely fashion.
- Assist in audit readiness program to support internal and external audits.
- Participate in internal and external audits.
- Read, comprehend, and follow established quality procedures related to manufacturing, operation, and quality systems.
- Maintain safe and healthy work environment by following standards and procedures, as well as complying with legal regulations
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent’ Associate’s degree in a technical discipline or vocational training preferred
- 5+ years of experience in related quality assurance experience. Previous medical device experience required.
- Individual must be quality oriented and have meticulous attention to details – absolute must
- Good understanding of inspection processes is required
- Skilled in basic Microsoft office applications (Word & Excel)
- Effective use of computer systems and job-related software applications
- Demonstrated great interpersonal, written and oral communication skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with inspection methods & techniques, geometric tolerance & dimension preferred
- Experience in a regulated product manufacturing environment preferred.
The base salary range for this position is $27 - 32/hourly. In addition to a base salary, this position is eligible for a performance bonus and benefits (subject to eligibility requirements) listed here: Teladoc Health Benefits 2024. Total compensation is based on several factors including, but not limited to, type of position, location, education level, work experience, and certifications.
