As an Associate – Quality Engineering, you will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and quality of a service delivery model supporting assigned platforms through a predefined framework. In particular, you will be involved in the development of quality engineering test cases/suites to validate and verify delivery of system artifacts in accordance with customer needs.
Key responsibilities:
• Develop and implement testing and quality engineering artifacts for new and existing software applications
• Ensure that Mobile applications are implemented according to the product stakeholder needs
• Document results accurately and reports results tactfully and concisely
• Exercise independent judgement within defined parameters to determine appropriate action.
• Log and track system flaws using the JIRA issue tracking system
• Troubleshoot application issues and coordinate issue resolution with operations, functional, and technical teams
• Work with a software development team and Service providers in a geographically distributed structure
• Provide coaching to Junior Associates
• Works independently on simple to medium complex projects
What we require:
• 3-6 years of software quality engineering experience
• Must be a problem solver with demonstrated experience in solving difficult technology challenges, with a can-do attitude
• Good Experience in testing Mobile applications and Web-based solutions
• Knowledge accessing relational databases (e.g. SQL scripting)
• Self-starter with ability to multi-task, prioritize, manage workload, and consistently deliver results
• Experience in Agile and Iterative development methodologies
• Strong communication skills with ability to interact with developers and product stakeholders globally
• Good experience on Mobile Apps Automation using Automation tools.
Technical areas of expertise:
• Experience with test management systems (e.g. Jira Zephyr, HP ALM.)
• Good experience on Mobile Apps and Web applications testing
• Experience on Appium Framework or Selenium Web driver
• Knowledge on Basic JAVA programming
• Strong background in test writing to provide full spectrum testing
• Familiar with deployment strategies, including creation and oversight of multiple QA environments
• Good to excellent written communication skills, including technical documentation
• Practical experience with creation of, and adherence to, an agile development scheduled for testing
• Background in working with product stakeholders to organize, develop and execute User Acceptance Tests
• Experience with selecting/creating appropriate test data, and practiced at Structured Query Language (SQL) to validate system’s correct data handling
