Walking Tree is a luxury jewelry company that encompasses two distinct B2C brands: Unsaid, based in Europe, and Aneka, based in India. Our "Digital Transformation and Insights" team, based at the headquarters, partners with the brand teams to deliver digital solutions that drive business change and improve customer experiences. This position reports directly to the Head of the Department.
Key Responsibilities:
- Establish a clear line of communication and collaboration between different functions such as UX/UI designers, developers, QA engineers, cataloging, analytics, and digital marketing to drive them toward the common brand objectives.
- Tackle open-ended problems with strategic thinking and creativity, proposing and implementing solutions that contribute to the brand's digital advancement.
- Monitor, analyze, and report on key eCommerce and digital marketing metrics, leveraging key insights to promote data-driven decision-making and drive growth.
- Act as the brand teams’ primary point of contact within the "Digital Transformation and Insights" team to deliver digital solutions that drive business change and improve customer experiences for our brands.
- Partner with the brand teams to understand their business requirements and bridge any gaps between the groups to ensure the delivery of a final solution.
- Manage external agencies, freelancers, and in-house specialists to deliver projects on time and within budget.
- Play a key role in implementing and maintaining the company's digital systems, marketing, and technology, including websites, performance marketing on Google & Facebook Ads, digital analytics, email marketing, and platforming and automation.
- Stay up-to-date with digital trends and technologies and continuously seek opportunities to innovate and improve our digital offerings.
Summary of immediate goals:
- Conduct a thorough assessment of the entire workflow chain, starting from the initial brief from the brand team to the final analytics and A/B testing post-launch. Identify inefficiencies and propose strategic improvements to optimize delivery and ensure seamless collaboration between UX/UI specialists, developers, QA engineers, and the analytics team.
- Collaborate with department heads to identify and prioritize high-impact digital initiatives that align with the company's strategic goals. This includes spearheading projects such as the implementation of AR/VR to enhance our eCommerce website, setting up comprehensive analytics on GA4 via GTM, initiating effective A/B testing, and executing comprehensive SEO strategies to boost visibility and customer engagement.
- Work closely with the Project Manager to review all digital subscriptions and agency/partner contracts. This includes scrutiny of software subscriptions and agency contracts with a focus on cost optimization and value for money.
- Develop and maintain clear, effective documentation that simplifies complex topics for wider understanding within the organization. This includes creating visual diagrams on platforms like Miro, detailing key concepts such as our marketing segmentation and tagging logic.
A few examples of day-to-day tasks:
- Lead daily/weekly stand-up meetings and quarterly planning sessions, ensuring clear and effective communication across all technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Translate complex technical concepts into clear, understandable language during presentations and meetings, ensuring alignment and understanding across the organization.
- Monitor and report on key eCommerce and digital marketing metrics, such as website conversion rates, product page performance, email newsletter effectiveness, and performance marketing KPIs, during project status meetings.
- Proactively identify and address potential challenges across projects, such as technical feasibility issues, operational oversights like delayed payments, and timeline-related risks.
- Prepare cost approval emails detailing the specifics of project budgets, platform subscription costs, and performance development-related expenses, and send them to the Head of the Department for review and approval.
- Collaborate with the Project Manager to manage software subscriptions integral to our microservices-based headless architecture, ensuring the relevant team members have access as required.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly and effectively to non-technical stakeholders, ensuring understanding and alignment at all levels of the organization.
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (Computer Science, Marketing, Business Administration, etc.).
- At least 2 years of relevant experience in product management, digital operations, digital marketing, or a related field.
- Strong website development, eCommerce, performance marketing, and digital analytics knowledge.
- Excellent presentation and analytical skills.
- Ability to lead and manage a team of digital specialists.
- Fluency in English and excellent written and verbal communication skills.
