POSITION SUMMARY:

Associate – Portfolio Management

Opportunity to join a new team within Audax Private Debt focused on managing the firm’s portfolio of unitranche and mezzanine investments.  You would work as part of a small, specialized group within the investment team responsible for post-closing portfolio company activity including - acquisitions, incremental facilities, amendments and restructurings, and assist with portfolio management processes.   

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Underwriting of portfolio company add-on investments:

  • Analysis of company performance since closing, investment merits and risks of the acquisition target, cash flows, organic vs. inorganic growth, coverage ratios, etc.  
  • Construction of LBO and equity co-investment return models

Amendment and restructuring analysis:

  • Summaries of performance drivers, liquidity and covenant analyses, sensitivity models

Portfolio management initiatives:

  • Maintain and enhance portfolio management tools including deal trackers, risk ratings, watchlist updates, amendment terms log, exposure levels, etc.
  • Create portfolio marketing materials in collaboration with senior new deal originators
  • Projects related to portfolio risk and monitoring initiatives

REQUIREMENTS/QUALIFICATIONS:
**Private credit underwriting experience preferred**

  • 2-4 years of experience in private credit / private debt / direct lending / private equity
    • Experience with workouts/restructurings is a plus
  • Proficiency in Excel modeling
  • Strong business writing skills
  • Detail-oriented nature
  • Ability to work collaboratively across multiple areas of the firm
  • Thrives in environment where ‘every day looks different’ 

For New York City only: The base salary range for this position is $125,000 - $150,000. The base salary range represents the estimated low and high end for this position at the time of this posting. Consistent with applicable law, compensation may vary and will be determined based on but not limited to, the skills, qualifications, and experience of the applicant along with the requirements of the position, and Audax reserves the right to modify this pay range at any time. An employee may also be eligible for annual discretionary incentive compensation based on performance.
