The Associate Customer and Market Researcher conducts primary and secondary projects to assist and further develop the market and customer research functions within Constant Contact. This role will be crucial in enhancing decision-making across the business and establishing replicable testing practices. The ability to quickly learn research techniques and develop research plans and strategies to match shifting business needs will be critical to the success of this role.
This can be an in-person or remote position. However, you are also welcome to work in any of our established offices in Boston, MA, Gainesville, FL, or Loveland, CO.
What you’ll do:
- Design and field ad hoc quantitative research studies, including customer, brand, and creative testing
- Independently conduct descriptive and inferential statistics using a variety of techniques, including Chi-Squared, T-Tests, simple linear regression
- Conduct in-depth competitor research and analysis, including analyzing competitor SEO/SEM, investor reports, and other data sources
- Translate data into actionable insights, create reports, and present research findings to key stakeholders
- Become a subject matter expert for our target audience and appropriately advocate for the customer
- Participate in project-related tasks for larger projects, including developing screeners, questionnaire writing, data analysis, survey programming, qualitative interviews, etc
- Stay up to date with new research tools and sources of information
- Tie together a cohesive customer narrative between analytics, qualitative and quantitative research studies
Who you are:
- Bachelor’s degree highly preferred, ideally within the business, economic, or social science fields
- 2-4 years of work experience in marketing, communications, consulting, market research
- Knowledgeable of statistics and comfortable with common statistical software (i.e. Excel, SPSS)
- Familiarity with Qualtrics or other common enterprise-level survey and intelligence tools
- Knowledgeable of market research principles and best practices
- Able to function well independently and in collaboration with stakeholders
- Skilled at report building and data visualization
- Curious and independent thinker, that has an interest in digital marketing, learning new skills, and the general SaaS industry
- Solution-focused problem-solving skills
The specific salary offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including the candidate’s experience, their education and work location. In addition, some roles may be eligible for additional on target commission pay or bonus. The compensation package includes health and welfare benefits including paid leave.
