- This is a network role (Individual contributor) in a cross-cultural team of colleagues located in various parts of the world.
- Responsible to maintain the fine balance between cost and service with an oversight on freight forwarding partners. The role is expected to play change ambassador role in various strategic initiatives
Job Responsibilities ( Indicate the primary responsibilities critical to the job function.)
- Take ownership of all the Exports & import of samples / materials across Pfizer network , third part analysis labs and CMO's
- Monitor shipping sites performance, adherence to logistics delivery processes, standards, and compliance
- Manage external logistics provider "control towers" to ensure required objectives / outcomes are achieved
- Leverage Logistics Platform Solutions tools capabilities related to financial management, operations KPI's, planning and optimization, and visibility processes.
- Understand and communicate to all stakeholders' future service and cost impacts resulting from changes in market conditions, network changes, product volume / mix changes, mode changes, etc.
- Real time shipment intervention and ensuring follow up actions with transportation suppliers are actioned against predefined playbooks and Standard Operating Procedures .
- Own and lead Continuous improvement initiatives (Change Ambassador)
- Work closely with Regulatory and Finance team to address time to time requirement
- Maintain close relationship with CHAs to facilitate smooth delivery of materials
- Meet ADC / customs officials time to time
- Any changes rolled out in the government wrt material movement, keep all the relevant stake holders informed
- Develop and follow the governance process for material movement
- Get certified in DG training and handle the DG shipments as per government requirements
- Audits: DG audit, develop and execute CAPA
Qualifications/Skills: Education - Experience - Additional Requirements ( Indicate qualifications and skills that are necessary for performance of responsibilities including: education, relevant experience, licenses, certifications, and other job-related technical and managerial skills.)
Qualifications/Skills:
- Education: master's or bachelor's degree in business administration (Management), Supply Chain or Logistics is required or any appropriate work experience.
- Experience: 4- 6 years Pharmaceutical and/or low to high-volume Consumer Goods industry experience or experience with a global logistics services provider.
- Project Management experience/skills, change management skills, Vendor management skills, People skills to work cross functionally
- Good computer literacy (MS office, Transportation Management / Optimization Tools, SAP MM/SD modules, etc.)
- Ability to handle situations of high pressure (critical shipments) and quick decision making
- Ability to work autonomously as well as in teams, including leading multi-functional and geographically dispersed project teams
- DG certification (Optinonal)
