Combining drug discovery scientific and/or technical knowledge with program management skills the Research Program Management Data Steward – Associate Manager will provide a key role in supporting our discovery pipeline by providing scientific project management and information stewardship. This position is a key partner for Senior Scientific Leadership, Research Program Management, Discovery Scientists, and Operational Managers, assuming responsibility for the quality and completeness of the assigned PPM data assets and ensuring business users have easy access to high-quality data. This role requires critical thinking around key scientific and operational data assets, team building, and communication, ensuring information accuracy for effective analysis and reporting. The incumbent will have a combination of information systems knowledge and scientific acumen, with strong interpersonal skills and the ability to adeptly shift between diverse priorities.
A TYPICAL DAY IN THIS ROLE MIGHT LOOK LIKE:

Completes responsibilities with minimal guidance - with awareness of internal/external interdependencies.

Operational management of discovery portfolio, program, and operational project management and reporting

Understands key information and data required to drive discovery project operations decision making

Supports decision-making by implementing a robust data management process for consistent and timely data accuracy

Responsible for discovery project / operations data entry and data quality

Identifies, investigates, and proposes remediation actions for data quality issues

Subject matter authority in discovery and data management processes

Assists in the identification of opportunities for new process or process improvement solutions

Develops and maintains operational process guides to ensure data quality

Subject matter and technical expertise in PPM systems and tools, providing mentorship and training to others

Handles and monitors data in the PPM system

Supports enterprise dashboarding, reporting, and metric generation effort.
THIS ROLE MIGHT BE FOR YOU IF:

You must have a BS or MS degree in a biology/biochemistry or other life science related field and 7+ years proven experience, or a PhD in a related field, relevant working experience (up to 5 years) preferred but not required.

Ability to understand and independently act upon information or issues that have potential down-stream impact on other functions and teams

Proficient in relevant software: Project management software, BI tools (e.g. TIBCO Spotfire, QlikView), Excel, PowerPoint, Word, etc.

Excellent written, verbal, organizational, and interpersonal communication skills

Leads multiple projects and priorities with outstanding interpersonal and time management skills (both project and self)
