Job Description
The Associate, Investment Engineering seeks to enhance decision-making of Investments teams through the integration of investment research, data utilization, and cutting-edge analytical and engineering methodologies into proprietary investment models. As a part of our team, you will have the opportunity to contribute to the research and development of our strategies.
Team Description
The Investment Engineering team is responsible for managing and enhancing the trading Execution Management System (EMS), coordinating with external partners such as trade management systems, brokers, and data vendors, and prioritizing small enhancements to align with business needs and objectives. The team also oversees project management and delivery on strategy projects related to trading and financial groups, collaborating with technical partners, senior management, and business groups to achieve project goals.
Accountabilities
- Works directly with Investment partners to develop, test, integrate, and implement solutions for transformational initiatives
- Assist Investment and internal partners in the preparation of ongoing and ad-hoc investment performance reporting
- Partner with colleagues to design and implement new tools and analytics modules
- Support the reduction of operational risks and the increase in controls by aligning activities to appropriate owners
- Offload tasks to automated capabilities to enhance efficiency
- Contribute to the research and development of investment strategies
- Present research findings and participate in discussions in various investment forums
- Support development of proprietary research methodologies through application of advanced analytical techniques
Qualifications
- Undergraduate degree in a quantitative discipline
- An advanced degree is an asset
- Experience in solving problems through the combination of quantitative, analytical and/or programming skills
- Strong programming skills, and knowledge of development processes and tools for Cloud-based applications
- 3-5 years of relevant work experience
- Strong research, analytical, financial modeling, valuation, problem solving skills and ability to think creatively
- Solid verbal and written communication skills
- Experience with genAI prompt engineering is a plus
