The Role

As Associate Director, Global Talent Management heading up the Practice Area “Leadership & Performance” you will have global responsibility for key Talent Management areas including Leadership Development, Performance Management, and the Year-End and Promotion process. Additionally, you will play a crucial role in developing and strengthening Genmab’s company culture. In your role as Talent Management Ambassador for the R&D function you will represent the TM CoE in your work with the R&D BHR team to link R&D business needs with Global Talent Management resources and processes.

You will report directly to the VP Global Talent Management and be part of the Global Talent Management Leadership team, in Copenhagen, Denmark.

You will join a global and vibrant HR community sharing the purpose of making a real difference for our patients, and you will work in close collaboration with the other Talent Management team members, based in the U.S.A. and the Netherlands and Denmark, who drive work within Strategic Workforce Planning, Succession, Talent Reviews, Professional Development, Engagement, Digital Learning, Onboarding, and Culture. In addition, you will work closely with colleagues from other HR CoEs, such as the Global Rewards team, and you will build strong relations with the Business HR (BHR) function to ensure alignment and integration of talent initiatives in your domain. Your stakeholders, however, go beyond HR as you will also be exposed to Genmab’s leadership population as a natural part of your role like you will also work other enabling functions such as Corporate Strategy & Planning and Corporate Communications.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the global Leadership Development strategy and Leadership Development portfolio, designing and implementing impactful leadership programs that support current and future leaders, all of this in close collaboration with our trusted and well-established external vendors

  • Oversee and continuously improve Performance Management processes, ensuring a best-in-class year-end and promotion process in partnership with Global Rewards and many other teams.

  • Co-facilitate leadership programs with our external vendors (selected programs), ensuring leaders at all levels are equipped with the skills and capabilities to drive success.

  • Act as the Talent Management Ambassador for R&D through the R&D BHR team, bridging general Talent Management CoE processes and strategies with the specific needs of the R&D function.

  • Partner closely with HRBPs to provide insights, frameworks, and tools that strengthen talent management initiatives in their respective functions.

  • Champion and evolve Genmab’s company culture, embedding cultural initiatives into leadership practices and co-drive a focused project to cultivate our company culture

  • Collaborate across CoEs and the Business HR function to drive an integrated and effective talent agenda.

  • Stay informed on industry standard processes and trends in talent management, continuously evolving our approach to enhance business impact.

Requirements

We are looking for an experienced Talent Management professional who thrives in a global, fast-paced, and vibrant environment. The ideal candidate will have:

  • 10+ years of experience within the field of Human Resources and relevant educational degree (ideally at Master’s level or above)

  • Extensive experience in Leadership Development, including designing, implementing, and facilitating leadership programs.

  • A strategic mindset with the ability to translate business needs into actionable talent strategies.

  • Experience with incorporating generative AI capabilities/tools in your daily work

  • A solid track record of stakeholder engagement, particularly with HR Business Partners, senior leaders, and cross-functional teams.

  • Experience with performance management processes, including year-end review processes and promotions.

  • Understanding of company culture development and the ability to drive cultural initiatives at scale.

  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate across multiple CoEs and HR functions to drive an integrated talent processes and initiatives.

  • Experience working in a global organization with a willingness to travel internationally when needed (expected 10-20 days per year).

  • The ability to inspire and influence without direct leadership mandate and drive initiatives in a matrixed environment.

  • Fluency in English; additional languages are a plus.
