We are looking for an Associate Director, IT Global Procurement to take responsibility for the development and execution of the Category Management strategy within assigned Information Technology Business Units for Cloud, Software, Hardware, Professional Services and Consulting. This person works collaboratively with business unit partners to competitively assess the global supply base capabilities and qualifications for Regeneron’s interests. You will own the supplier relationship, actively participate in supplier selection, and manage ongoing performance and service delivery.

A typical day might include the following:

  • Accountable for supporting the definition and implementation of IT Category strategy to serve global and regional business needs as assigned.
  • Works closely with partners to manage discussions related to the IT Category and aligns category priorities with Procurement management and partners.
  • Act as a primary point of contact for partners, key suppliers as leader and SME on IT category.
  • Takes direction to drive value in terms of cost savings, cash flow improvement, and other efficiency savings from category management activities.
  • Represents Global Procurement by participating in organizational decisions in IT category with critical short and long-term impact on the success, efficiency, growth, and results of Global Procurement.
  • Demonstrates knowledge of efficient global procurement organizations and processes within the biopharmaceutical industry to support the growth and evolution of the Global Procurement organization and leverages this knowledge to drive improvements within Regeneron, aligned with corporate priorities.
  • May, either directly or through a matrix structure, manage team of professional level employees responsible for performing category management tasks (if applicable.)
  • May mentor and guide on job performance and career development to direct reports (if applicable) and provides leadership example for the organization.

  • Have strong experience successfully managing category processes, and suppliers across a breadth of categories
  • Can demonstrate success working effectively with cross-functional teams to get results in IT  or related categories through effective sourcing, negotiations, contracting, and supplier relationship management.
  • Can provide insight and knowledge regarding rates, unit costs, and costing structures to enable optimal negotiations.
  • Use external data sources, market information, and supplier engagement to constantly improve Regeneron’s knowledge of supply market dynamics.
  • Are experienced operating with integrity, focus, and clarity in an environment of ambiguity to motivate change and improvement.
  • Demonstrated success supporting global supply market evaluation processes using all available market intelligence, risk, compliance, and financial assessment tools.

To be considered, you must possess a bachelor's degree and +10 years meaningful IT procurement experience. A CPSM/CPM/CTPE Certification is helpful. We are looking for someone with a solid understanding with sourcing contracting tools, ERP’s, and eRFx systems preferred. (Oracle, Zycus, GEP, Ariba, Other) And ability to use standard business applications for communicating, presenting and analyzing (Word, Excel, Powerpoint)

*This role requires working onsite a minimum of 3 days per week.
