Key Areas of Responsibilities
- Lead the setup of custody business and participate in the strategic planning of custody business
- Establish and implement procedures manuals, workflows and control measures related to asset custody services
- Connect and establish relationship with stakeholders, including but not limit to sub-custodians, counterparties, internal departments, etc
- Participate in system setup, implementation and testing and to collaborate with system vendor and internal departments to follow up project status and progress
- Supervise day-to-day settlement and corporation action operation, including but not limited to Hong Kong equities and fixed income securities, global stocks and bonds, etc
- Keep eyes on relevant market changes, conduct analysis on system enhancement needs and apply measures to cope with the changes when necessary
- Undertake ad-hoc projects as assigned.
Requirements
- Bachelor Degree or equivalent from any related disciplines.
- Preferably minimum 6 years experiences in global custody and banking industry
- Familiar with custodian business with good knowledge and operating experience in various settlement systems operations, including operations in SWIFT, CMU, CCASS, Euroclear/Clearstream etc.
- Experience in leading a team to perform trade settlement and corporate action event cycles
- Mature, high level of attention to detail, able to work independently under pressure and strong sense of meeting tight committed deadlines.
- Able to resolve settlement issues and conscious of operation risk
- Good interpersonal skill.
- Willing to accept challenges
- Good verbal and written communication skills in Mandarin and English.
- Proficient in Word, Excel, PowerPoint and other presentation applications, including the ability to produce neatly presented work.
