Job Description:
The Associate Director of Commercial Finance is focused on the overall financial health of clients in the Optimize book of business, which includes approximately 15 clients and $20M of revenue. Overall responsibilities will include pricing, contracts, commercial terms, staff management, forecasting, compliance and client profitability.
KEY AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY
Commercial and Finance leadership of Optimize accounts:
- Lead internal pricing process, pricing tool, discussions and best practices as well as support the account leads with preparation of annual scope negotiations, analysis, and executive presentations.
- Work closely with the client leads, markets, and sister agencies in the U.S. and globally to ensure consistency and alignment of revenue and cost expectations
- Understanding of clients contracts with focus on compliance to dentsu media’s operations framework including pricing and payment terms. Ensure client contract compliance including delivery of client facing reporting not limited to staff utilization and performance fees/malus reports. Additionally partner with Client Services and Financial Operations to ensure all media reporting and reconciliation remains compliant to contractual obligations.
- Partner and consult on monthly revenue forecasts (Budget and RFs) via BFS as well as monitor monthly accuracy against forecasts
- Own management of pipeline opportunities within our CRM system (Salesforce)
- Quarterback billing and revenue recognition setup including working with the RAA and Fin Ops team to ensure clear alignment on pricing and commercial terms as we as correct mapping of MSS for corporate reporting
- Monthly review client profitability prepared by FP&A, present Client P&LS to business leads and partner to adjust staffing to ensure iProspect maintains overall profitability goals
- Work to ensure resource management plan aligns to pricing/staffing plans. This includes reconciliation of staff plans to RAP monthly. Partner with resource management to update staffing, rates and allocations as well as approve bi-weekly staffing requests. Prepare and review quarterly staff plan reconciliations to time tracking and report analysis to client leads.
EXPERIENCE/KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED
- 5-7 years’ experience in a commercially focused client finance role including P&L management
- Understanding of client support / relationship management
- Knowledge and experience in negotiating contracts and service agreements
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel
- Initiative and ability to manage multiple projects, as well as strong follow-through skills
- Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills (written and oral) including a strength in developing clear and concise narratives
- Superior organizational abilities, strong attention of detail, and advanced project management/customer service skills
- Experience in Budgeting/Forecasting
- Experience with an agency desirable but not essential
- Experience in a professional marketing services environment desirable
- Ability to demonstrate an understanding of the importance of strict internal controls
- Ability to identify financial risks and issues in commercial arrangements
Additional information
The anticipated salary range for this position is ($78,000-$126,500). Actual salary will be based on a variety of factors including relevant experience, knowledge, skills and other factors permitted by law.
