Job Description
As a member of the APAC Operations in Tokyo office:

The team is responsible for trade management for Japanese pension clients and Toshin funds
-
Supervise BAU and handle irregular issues or troubleshoot as an escalation point
-
Ensure smooth and accurate operational processes and enhance communication and collaboration between both internal and external stakeholders

Share knowledge and experience in the team and strengthen backup structure

Co work with reporting team and Toshin fund operation team
-
Support manager for smooth team management
Primary Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be expected to perform the following functions:

Monitor and supervise BAU performed by outsourcing vendors
-
Supervise and support the team to perform with accuracy and timeliness
-
Supervise if BAU is performed in line with local regulations or internal rules
-
Supervise and check Limited Partnership (Alternative Products) related operations such as capital call or distribution which is manually performed
-
Supervise corporate action activities by co-working with global teams and Japanese trustee banks
-
Onboarding or offboarding of clients or funds by co-working Japanese trustee banks, outsourcing vendors, or internal global teams

Troubleshoot by communicating with global teams, Japanese trustee banks, or custodians
-
Work proactively to review workload and improve efficiency

Fully understand the operation requirements from pension clients or Toshin funds perspective and communicate between sales, portfolio managers and global teams

Responsible for global project such as automation of operations
Qualifications
-
Excellent communication skills in English and Japanese
-
Minimum 10 years’ experience of operation at asset management company
-
Experience to supervise team is preferred
-
Proactive, accurate, easy to prioritize ad hoc, able to work under pressure, good at multi-tasking, and strong communication skills
-
Knowledge of local regulation such as “Kinsho Ho”
-
Knowledge of fund accounting is preferred
