As an Associate Developer, you’ve got extensive experience with HTML5, CSS3, and Vanilla JS, which means you’re good to go when it comes to developing innovative features for responsive websites. If you’re always looking to learn and grow in your role, then good news—you’ll get key mentorship from a Senior Developer and will gain experience working with departments like Creative and UX to create top-notch user experiences.
Not only are you a true rock star in responsive HTML and CSS development, you’re also up to speed on the latest in responsive grid frameworks and templating engines—and throw in some various JavaScript patterns for reusability and performance. You have a strong foundational knowledge of ES5 and ES6—but we’ll welcome any experience you have with JavaScript as well. Additionally, you have experience with Python and Java, allowing you to contribute to backend and full-stack development when needed.
The Trailhead program is the start of your epic journey at Critical Mass. During your initial 12-weeks, you will embark on a custom-built learning journey to understand what we do, who we are, and how we make award-winning work with our clients. Our goal is to integrate you into the amazing work we do here at Critical Mass and support you as part of the team to grow your career with us!
Our Summer 2025 Trailhead Cohort commences May 27, 2025.
You Will:
- Rapidly prototype with code using modern front-end frameworks and digital pattern libraries.
- Deliver solutions balancing technical and business requirements.
- Understand business and user requirements.
- Maintain high coding standards and practices to exercise quality control on all aspects of web development.
- Problem-solve in all areas of web development.
You Have:
- 0-2 years demonstrated development experience with hand-coding advanced HTML, CSS, HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript.
- Demonstrated development experience with React.
- Experience with Python and Java.
- An interest in Artificial Intelligence (AI).
- Package manager and automation tool experience (npm, gulp, grunt).
- Demonstrated understanding of Responsive Web Design principles.
- Proficiency with Semantic HTML Markup.
- Experience working with cross-functional and cross-office teams.
- Experience diagnosing and solving cross-browser and cross-platform issues.
