Position Purpose:

The Associate Project Manager is responsible for a combination of supporting activities related to delivery of projects and/or financial/budgeting activity for their teams. When supporting project delivery, Associate Project Managers typically support low complexity projects in a non-vendor facing capacity. They create or maintain project plans, develop and communicate status reports, manage issues and risks, and work with their leadership teams to manage project scope. When performing financial/budgeting activities, they monitor and adjust to given budgets, track labor and capital spend, and support variance root cause analysis.

Key Responsibilities:

  • 55% Delivery and Execution - Supports and seeks to understand organizational/initiative goals and success criteria and how those apply to project work; Supports and executes change management process and activities within Technology organization; Introduction to Project Management best practices and methods Partners with Project Management team/manager in supporting creation of project plSupports creation, monitoring, and maintenance of project plans based on critical milestones for a project of group of initiatives; Supports team in issue and risk resolution; Partners with Project Management team/manager in supporting identification of stakeholders and team members; Partners with Project Management team/manager in supporting creation, monitoring, tracking and adjustments of project plans for an initiative or group of Initiatives
  • 45% Resource & Financial Management - Supports and seeks to understand organizational/initiative goals and success criteria and how those apply to project work; Partners with Project Management team/manager in supporting creation, monitoring, tracking and adjustments of project plans for an initiative or group of initiatives

Travel Requirements:

  • Typically requires overnight travel less than 10% of the time.

Physical Requirements:

  • Most of the time is spent sitting in a comfortable position and there is frequent opportunity to move about. On rare occasions there may be a need to move or lift light articles.

Working Conditions:

  • Located in a comfortable indoor area. Any unpleasant conditions would be infrequent and not objectionable.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Must be eighteen years of age or older.
  • Must be legally permitted to work in the United States.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate and work effectively with cross-functional teams
  • Ability to draw accurate conclusions from financial documentation
  • Demonstrated project management skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience supporting the planning and execution of enterprise projects or programs
  • Professional certifications nice to have but not required
  • Experience with Microsoft Office tools
  • Some familiarity with project planning and execution
  • Ability to learn project management execution in a fast-paced environment

  • The knowledge, skills and abilities typically acquired through the completion of a bachelor's degree program or equivalent degree in a field of study related to the job.
