About the role

 

The Associate Copywriter produces bold, strategic, persuasive messages in all types of media for agency clients. You will be responsible for development of copy for integrated advertising campaigns and ensuring all work is creatively on point.

What you'll do:

  • Develop concepts in multiple media platforms
  • Write advertising copy from conception to completion for print, broadcast and online media to promote the sale of goods and services
  • Collaborate with art directors and production on projects
  • Deliver presentations to team creatives whenever needed
  • Write in a variety of styles, when needed
  • Participate in strategy discussions as needed
  • Remain current on industry trends and technologies

About you:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Journalism, Advertising or related field from a four-year college or university required
  • 2 or more years of related work experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience required
  • Writing experience in several forms of media required
  • Comfortable working under pressure within tight deadlines
  • Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence
  • Ability to write creative copy and simple correspondence
  • Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients and other employees of the organization
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form
  • Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations
  • Ability to understand, breakdown, and simplify data
